Mr. Kang and Jieun exited the hospital, more shocked than ever before. The man had his eyes thrust open and fixated on an undefined point on the street ahead of him, while the woman had her eyebrows furrowed and was nervously chewing her lower lip. What they had just discovered thanks to Wooyoung, left them speechless and incredulous. The couple silently reached their car and hopped on it, Yeosang on the driver's seat. he started the engine and left the parking spot.

Driving back home had never been so dangerous and difficult: at least three times Jieun had to scream at her husband to pay more attention after the man hadn't stopped at the red lights on the traffic signal and, for that, risked getting involved into a car crash. Let alone the moment he was about to drive on a flowerbed. Once Yeosang managed to park inside their garage, without few difficulties, the woman could finally take a deep, relieved breath. Yeosang was tormented and unsettled, his mind was wandering inside himself and his thoughts, hence why he was repeatedly distracted ever since he crossed the threshold of the hospital.

The couple entered the house silently, realising with satisfaction and a hint of proudness that Min-Seung was already sleeping in her bedroom, and it made both of her parents happy, since it meant that she was growing up. However, what worried Jieun the most, at that moment, was her husband, who missed the pocket emptier and let the keys fell on the ground with a sound that pierced their eardrums.

The woman stooped and picked up the keys to place them in their place. Then, she looked at Yeosang and stretched her arm towards his shoulder, first she carefully brushed the tip of her fingers on the fabric of his grey jacket as if she wanted to make sure to not frighten him even more, afterwards, once she had made sure that he was calm, she proceeded to caress him with her hand and stepped closer to his body.

"Yeosang, dear..."

Jieun whispered as her thumb made its way to his cheek to touch lightly his skin. Her husband freed a disheartened sigh, closing his eyes and feeling them burning for the upcoming salty tears. He but his lower lip, holding his tears, not wanting to cave in front of the woman of his life.

"I'm so sorry, Jieun."

Yeosang whispered before falling apart right under his wife's attentive stare. Warm tears started cutting his cheeks and the woman immediately dashed towards him to encircle her arms around his and comfort him. Yeosang placed his forehead in her shoulder, seconds before starting to sob uncontrollably. What he feared the most, actually happened and there was no method that could fix it.

How could he have been so naive?

Jieun patted his shoulder as she too tried to hold back her tears.

"It's alright, dear. No need to be sorry."

She replied, managing somehow to hide her pain that was clenching her heart. What they had just discovered, didn't completely involve Jieun, too, but she couldn't restrain herself to act as if nothing happened when the love of her life was crying his whole heart in front of her.
