Areum's heart was crazily fluttering in her ribcage and its deaf sound that she could hear in her ears, was also audible to Seonghwa, who appreciated it as his favourite melody. After all that happened between him and Areum, looking at the effect he still caused her was a thrilling victory, for him, to gave left such a deep gash inside of her. No other human had ever captured his attention the way Yoon Areum was doing, maybe because she was desperately attempting to fight against her true feelings for him by hiding them behind a shield of hate that intrigued Seonghwa.
The demon drew closer to the woman, his hot breath caressed her cheeks and his smell of musk and smoke flooded her nostrils, provoking shivers down her spine.
"These people don't deserve you, kitten. Come with me."
Breathed Seonghwa as he extended his hand towards Areum. At that moment, it was as if a light fog was encircling the pair, gifting them with their privacy and their instant of intimacy and warmth. Or, at least, that was what looked like to Seonghwa. Actually, the woman was silently asking for help from the others, who seemed to had put roots in the linoleum under their feet. How could you blame them? They saw a person emerging from a cloud of smoke before their eyes, silent like the night, deadly like no other.
Surprisingly, not for the act of effrontery itself, but the unexpected reply, Wooyoung took a single step towards the demon and pointed his tapered fingers against the demon.
"Yah, you better leave with your own energies, before we banish your demonic ass for the second time!"
Silly, inappropriate, out of place... Numerous adjectives strutted in Yeosang's brain like Carnival floats for Wooyoung's intrusion, which made him realise he was terribly wrong when he thought that the black-haired male had finally matured to the point where he could understand when to keep his mouth shut or not. But, as always, Mr. Jung was able to surprise everyone on every occasion, even in the ones where no one wanted to be amazed.
The demon gradually tilted his head towards Wooyoung's direction and pierced him with his ice-blue eyes. If stares could kill, Wooyoung would've been dead and buried. And that was Seonghwa's aim.
"I have almost killed you once, I won't fail, this time."
Pronounced coldly the demon, and with a snap of his fingers, Wooyoung's body withered to the left side, where years ago, he broke his rib after being flung by Seonghwa himself. However, the pain was stronger and was taking over his whole left side of the body as screams filled the room and soon every hallway of the building, echoing from corners to corners.
The others didn't waste a second and rushed to the suffering make on the floor: Jieun helped him placing his head on her thighs, whereas Hongjoong and Jongho lifted his shirt to check any injury, and Mingi was keeping Wooyoung's legs still to avoid hi kicking the others trying to help him. In his ribcage, nothing appeared, not even the simplest scratch, the damage occurred from the inside, which complicated the situation and their tries to provide first aid vanished away.
