Hongjoong's inner mechanism was working rapidly, examining every detail that the demon had provided him and his friends with, but the only solution that his mind could come up with was always the same, yet, he just couldn't accept it. If he forced himself to think about another plan, possibly one where he didn't have to kill anyone, his brain emptied, showing the male black and silence only. His group of friends had no time left: Seonghwa was elegantly approaching Mingi and him, Areum and San looked way too unmoving for Hongjoong's likings, and he hadn't received any news from Mr. and Mrs. Kang, Hee-Young and Jongho, but he guessed the latter had managed to call the police considering the fact that the piercing sound of the sirens had reached his ears.

"Hongjoong, do you have a plan now?"

Inquired Mingi without moving his gaze from the demon, scared he might disappear and re-appear behind him. The tallest male fought his need to look at the oldest when he received no response, but his eyes were literally glued on the demon and had no intention of leaving his figure. At his ears, only a river of murmurs and mumbling arrived, which he couldn't catch a single meaningful word.

"San."

Simply replied Hongjoong, taking for granted that Mingi could understand how to move with such a bare answer. The tallest wished to retort with a sarcastic tone but knew it wasn't the right time, so he waited, ignoring how painfully harsh his heart was thumping in his chest.

"We have to get to San."

Explained, albeit it still resulted in a coded message to Mingi, who didn't reply. Despite the couple of friends were talking in murmurs, the demon successfully caught their sentences and scoffed when he realised their intentions and their plan. Still, watching them rush to carry out their next move or to make the others understand their next moves without speaking was hilarious. Humans never failed to entertain Seonghwa: the demon loved watching them writhe under his spells or moan for the pain he inflicted on them, whether mental or physical. During his long life, the moment he preferred of his missions were when the victim was at the end of her or his days and had comprehended who he was and what he had done, but it was too late to act.

"Oh? Kim Hongjoong, splitting orders as always, I see."

Began Seonghwa once he had reached the male and had moved close to him to the point where the space left between their bodies was the same as the length of a hand put in a horizontal position. Hongjoong was surprised that the demon still hadn't wrapped his hand around his neck and flung him somewhere down the building like Hee-Young, however, he knew that even the most peaceful discussion would've given rise to bloodshed, so there was no space to feel safe or convinced by the idea that Seonghwa wouldn't lay a finger on him. Moreover, the shiny and black horns emerging from his hair left no space for the smallest human to believe he was out of any hazard.

"I wonder what you're currently thinking, I wonder if you're silently cursing Areum for her choices and for the consequences of her actions, which have involved you into the story, even if you were the one commencing it."
