"Hi, Mom." You greet as the brunette woman walks into the kitchen.

"Hey, baby." Josie smiles and kisses your head. "You're cooking." She observes.

"I didn't know how late you and Mama would be working, so I thought I'd make you dinner. I know you don't technically eat, but-"

"Don't overthink everything, sweetie. Your Mama and I still eat food." Josie reassures.

Your Mama, Hope, turned into a full tribrid after she got your Mom pregnant. Then your Mom became a heretic a few years after you were born after they were in a car accident. Hope tried to save her with her blood but Josie died with it in her system and she woke up as a heretic.

At the moment you're part wolf and part siphon witch. You triggered your curse last year accidentally, you got in a car accident and your friend died. If you died with vampire blood in your system, you would become the
second tribrid. A Gemini tribrid, confusing.

"It smells amazing, what is it?" Josie asks as she grabs a blood bag from the fridge, pouring some into a glass.

"Carbonara." You tell her. Josie gave up being vegetarian when humans became a part of her diet.

"My favourite." Josie says and sips the blood.

You grin over at her, not paying attention and you slice right into your hand. You yelp and drop the bloody knife, putting your hand over the sink as blood falls from the wound. Tears fill your eyes at the pain and Josie is quick to bite into her wrist and press it against your mouth.

She looks away from the blood, closing her eyes to control her urges. She would never ever hurt you, but she doesn't want you to see her vampire face.

Once your wound is healed, you pull away from your Moms wrist.

"It's okay, Mom." You tell her which makes her clench her jaw and move away from you. "You can show me, Mom, I won't be scared." You've never seen your Moms vampire face, you've seen your Mamas but never your Moms.

You tilt her head to face you. Her eyes are closed up you can still see the back veins and her fangs.

"See? I'm not scared, Mom." You reassure.

Josie's eyes slowly open and you smile at her, not even fazed at her red eyes. Josie takes a few deep breaths and her face fades back to normal.

"Never again." She tells you which makes you smile.

"Ok, Mom." You giggle and kiss her cheek.

"Be careful, ok? I don't want my baby dying this young," Josie says.

"I'm 17, Mom." You quip and wash your hands and the knife before going back to cooking,

"7 in my mind." Josie says.

"Always so dramatic." You sigh playfully.

"You can blame your Aunt Lizzie for that." Josie says and sits at the island in the middle of the kitchen, opening her laptop and going through her emails. "How was school?"

"The usual. Boring." You grumble.

Josie hums. "Be thankful you didn't live in school for 12 years."

"But at least interesting things happened in your school. You had monsters to fight and flying chicken people. All I have is teen gossip." You roll your eyes.

"Flying chicken people?" Josie asks which a chuckle. "Do you mean Landon? Mama's ex?"

"That's what Auntie Lizzie called him." You shrug, "Auntie Pen called him an annoying cun-"
