"Pair scan this for me. It's a part of that weird eyeball that was up in the sky." Y/n said, walking into the main room of the lighthouse and placing a piece of the material he found on the table for Pair to scan.
Pair climbed up onto the table that sat in the kitchen and initiated the scan, after a few moments, Pair beeped the results. "Really? It's a sort of crystallised material? What are its weaknesses?" Y/n asked, sitting at the table, and looking at the broken piece of alien technology.
Pair scanned the material once again, looking further into this molecular structure and trying to pinpoint any weaknesses, once he concluded the scan, he beeped. "So, it seems to be weak to ballistics and resistant to plasma base weaponry? What about that weapon the gem ladies used-" Y/n was about to continue but then stopped to think.
The weapon they used was probably made to destroy weird eyeball ships, its like if an anti-tank rifle from the 21st century was used on a tank from his timeline, sure it would probably damage it, but it wouldn't have the best results. "I'll see if I can collect anymore of this material, it might come in handy." He stood up, nodding to Pair, who beeped in understanding.
Y/n walked back through the open door and down the spiral staircase but before he managed to reach the front door, there was a sudden knock. He hummed in interest as he reached the door, opening it to reveal a very familiar boy.
"Woah! I knew there was someone new living here! What's your name? Mine's Steven!" The little boy rambled as he stuck his hand out to shake Y/n's hand.
"Y/n, I moved in a couple days ago." He said, accepting the handshake from Steven.
"Were you the one that helped me with that gem monster yesterday?? It got distracted while it was chasing me!" Steven questioned as they ended the handshake.
Y/n didn't really know what to say, he did distract that monster, but he also didn't want to bring too much attention to himself. "I threw a couple rocks at it, hoping it would get distracted which it did." Y/n noticed a small package on the floor next to Steven, but he'd figure that out later.
"Wow really? Thanks! It helped me poof the gem monster!" Steven thanked Y/n with a smile adorning his chubby face before adding. "Say, since we're neighbours now why don't you come over? You can meet the gems!" The little boy exclaimed like he just figured out the meaning of life.
Y/n was interested in meeting them, but probably after he's got a bit more comfortable in the town. "I would, but I'm pretty busy today ... I've got to sort out a bunch of things in the lighthouse." He said, hoping to gently let down the happy boy.
"Awh man, that's okay..." Steven said, pouting a little bit, but soon came up with an idea. "Oh! I know! Why don't I give you a tour of Beach City tomorrow or something!" He said, seemingly proud of himself.
"We'll see, I've been pretty busy lately, especially fixing everyone's broken stuff ..." Y/n sighed, at least he was earning money.
"Awh mann, I'll see you around I guess ... remember to come to Steven if you want that amazing tour!" Steven said, snapping his figures towards Y/n as he walked backwards.
"Will do!" Y/n said with a smile as he tried to not hurt the poor boy's feelings. Soon Steven was all the way down the hill, this gave Y/n the chance to pick up that package that was on the floor and take it back upstairs to Pair.
"Pair, I think the Laptop came, faster than I expected too." Y/n entered the room as he opened the package, which was indeed a laptop, he didn't care how good it was as he could always improve it himself.
Pair was too busy conducting more scans on the material Y/n had found earlier that day, but he wasn't bothered, Y/n took the new laptop and sat on the living room sofa.
