"Hello, Y/n." Rose said with a smile as Y/n slowly opened his eyes, landing on the large pink gem in front of him.

"Oh ... Rose ... What's going on?" Y/n asked as he looked at their surroundings, it was a pink room, similar to Steven's room in the temple, just full of pink clouds.

Rose giggled. "Nothing my Y/n, nothing at all." She smiled as her giggling died down. "I've grown rather accustomed to being a part of you."

Rose sat down, crossing her legs as she patted the pink cloud next to her, signalling to sit next to her. "I'm still getting used to you ..." Y/n admitted as he sat down. "I don't feel any different, sometimes I think that these interactions are just a dream. That it's all in my head."

"I understand." Rose nodded. "This may seem surreal, but I assure you, we are connected."

Y/n hummed. "So is this like fusion then?" Y/n asked, wanting some sort of clarity.

"No, this is different, but ... similar." Rose replied. "When two gems fuse their bodies get intertwined, making them more of their components." She explained, shifting her body to face Y/n. "Normally, with fusion, a third personality comes up from the combination of both gems."

"Ah ..." Y/n said, starting to understanding it more. "So ... Garnet would be the third personality? What happens to Ruby and Sapphire? She said before that they may as well be names for your left arm, and right arm."

"It's a very difficult topic to explain, in a sense she's right, Ruby and Sapphire are normally in complete harmony with one another, allowing Garnet to exist almost indefinitely." Rose told. "Garnet can still talk with Ruby, or Sapphire, similar to how you talk to me."

"Okay ... I'm getting there, but it's still ... confusing." Y/n admitted with an awkward laugh.

"Do not worry." Rose reassured with a smile. "No one expects you to understand it, even some gems find it difficult to so."

Y/n nodded, looking around the pink landscape too. "Is something on your mind?" Rose asked as Y/n's drifted down, and stared at his hands.

"I've got plenty on my mind ..." Y/n sighed, rubbing his eyes. "There's just so much happening, I don't know if my brain and process it all at once." Y/n gave a dry chuckle as he looked up at Rose. "Steven and Connie are getting super involved with Gem stuff, and that's got me worried cause I don't want them to get hurt ..."

Y/n took a deep breath, turning his head from Rose's direction, and looking at his hands again. "My family's dead and there's nothing I can do about it, and then I found out I was a killing machine." He said as Rose looked on. "Honestly? I don't know what to do."

Rose looked at Y/n, who was deep in thought, a sad expression on his face. "Y/n ... I already told you; you must take things one step at a time, ask for help, the gems will be glad to give it you." She said, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"I just ... I don't know anymore ..." Y/n sighed. "At least I don't have time to think about any of it."

Rose sighed. "Y/n, that's unhealthy and you know it." She chastised.

"Whether I like it or not, I don't actually have time!" Y/n shot back. "I've got the bunker that needs to be finished, the gems need me to help on missions, and I need to make sure that Steven actually remembers he's human!"

Y/n crossed his arms and looked away. "Have you thought about talking to the gems?" Rose asked.

"Of course not!" Y/n told. "They're too busy to deal with my opinions, especially on Steven! They were reluctant to let me examine him!"
