Chapter 86: The Off-Colours

Y/n was stood in an abandoned storage room, whatever was stored here was long gone as it was virtually empty. The metal man did not stand alone as Indigo stood next to him, somewhat behind his leg as a way of protection due to the group that was directly in front of them.

"You're telling me," Y/n started, looking at Lars under his helmet, "You died?"

Lars slowly nodded, having explained what happened to him and Steven, making sure to introduce Y/n to the group known as the Off-Colours, "Yeah but Steven saved me? I guess?" The Pink human said, unsure of what exactly happened,

"And Steven went into your hair?" Y/n prodded; a lot had happened to the two humans while Y/n was busy making friends.

"Yeah, some sort of portal ... Or something like that ..." Lars scratched his hair, "Apparently he can come out of Lion's mane,"

"This ... Is a lot to absorb ..." Y/n placed his hand on his neck, rubbing the armour. This action did absolutely nothing for him, but it was a simple habit.

"Are. You. Truly. The. Sun. Goddess?" The large fusion, known as Fluorite, said, very slowly,

Y/n nodded, "Indeed,"

"You're not disgusted by us?" This time the voice came from one of the twins, it was the left one who had asked, they were known as the Rutile Twins as they shared a gem,

Y/n shook his head, "Of course not," He took off his helmet, "I'm a human, so I have no room to judge,"

"Oh my!" A high-pitched voice called out, "I predict that the Sun Goddess is messing with my Future Vision!"

The Peach Sapphire, known as Padparadscha did not have Future Vision, realistically, it should be known as RetroVision, but even then it can only see things just after they happened. It must be equally confusing for her though as Y/n can not be detected in the Future Vision of Sapphires, she must have only just figured that out.

"Come on, Pad," Another voice spoke up, this time it was from Rhodonite, a fusion of the Pearl and Ruby that Y/n had already met, "You don't need to use your vision at a time like this,"

"Right ..." Padparadscha mumbled, "My apologies,"

The Rutile Twins approached Y/n somewhat cautiously, but once they reached him they started to poke at his face, pulling at his cheeks, "Rutiles! Have some tact!" Rhodonite chastised,

"It's alright, I'm used to it," Y/n shrugged, glancing down to Indigo who blushed,

"Who. Is. This. Fine. Sapphire. Next. To. You?" Fluorite asked, leaning in closer, but not too close,

"This is Indigo," Y/n said as the Rutiles stopped poking his face, "That's the nickname I gave her after becoming friends with her,"

Indigo walked forward, giving a courteous bow, "It is a pleasure,"

Padparadscha stepped forward, "It is nice to meet another Sapphire, I haven't spoken to one in a few thousand years,"

"Looks like you two are gonna be best friends," Y/n chuckled as she looked at the two Sapphires, "Anyway, What's the plan? You said something about commandeering a spaceship?"

Lars nodded, "We heard that this ball would have some big-shot gems," He explained, dusting his pink dress down, it was obviously getting on his nerves, "We hoped to trick one of them ... Somehow,"

"Huh ..." Y/n hummed, they didn't have the best plan, well, they didn't really have a plan at all, "I should be able to help with that, I mean, who would say no the 'Sun Goddess'? Am I right?"
