The Crystal Gems are gathered around the drill they recently completed, while Peridot is nowhere to be found.
"How much longer 'till we can use the drill?" Amethyst groaned, wanting this to be over and done already.
"Well, with the new coordinates we got from the moon base, it should be ready to go." Y/n informed as pearl clasped her hands together.
"Indeed! But a few tests couldn't hurt." The pale gem smiled.
Steven looked over to the front of the barn, noticing that Peridot was walking inside with the weird object that she had taken from the moon-base earlier.
"Y/n?" Steven asked. "Could I show you something?"
"Yeah, 'course." Y/n smiled as Steven took a hold of his hand and lead the taller human towards the barn.
Once the two entered, Peridot could be seen in front of the van that was parked inside, fidgeting with some object.
Y/n realised what Steven wanted. "Peridot?" Y/n said carefully.
"Oh! Y/n! Steven!" Peridot yelped, hiding something behind her back.
"Peridot, we need to talk to you." Steven told.
"Uhhh, yeah! Sure!" Peridot said, trying to play it cool, but not being successful.
Steven then climbed into the van, with Y/n, and Peridot following suite. Y/n was sat at the back while Steven, and Peridot were in the front seats.
"Why are we in this broken-down vehicle?" Peridot questioned, looking around the interior.
The two humans continued to observe the prism Peridot was hiding.
"I wanted to ask you...about the Diamonds?" Steven said, wondering how loyal the green gem still was.
"Oh! I don't know what the others have told you, but there's a reason they're in charge." Peridot beamed, clearly excited to talk about the topic.
"Why's that?" Y/n asked, a slight frown appearing on his face.
"They're objectively better than us. Every Gem has their strengths and weaknesses, but not them. They're absolutely totally completely flawless beings! Especially my diamond, Yellow Diamond, the most perfect, the most reasonable, rational, efficient decider ever to exist in the universe!" Peridot dreamed, obviously still loyal to the diamonds.
"You're really loyal to her, aren't you?" Steven pointed out.
"How could I not be? We might have our little truce, but I'll never forsake the Gem I was made for!" Peridot informed.
"That's good, because... she's right behind you!" Steven yelled, giving Y/n a nod to what he was planning.
"WHAT?" Peridot yelled in excitement and fear.
Peridot turned around giving Y/n the chance to snatch the prism from her. The two humans then exits the truck and lock Peridot inside.
"Ahh, no! Ahh!" Peridot screamed, acting like a defeated toddler.
"Save your strength! You're up against one of the earth's greatest trapping technologies: the child safety lock!" Steven told, earning a laugh from Y/n.
"Oh, no! How could you do this to me, the great and lovable Peridot?! I thought we were finally friends like you wanted..." Peridot said, sinking into the chair as she tried making Y/n and Steven feel guilty.
"We saw you sneak this off the moon base while nobody else was looking!" Y/n said as he held up the prism. "What is it?"
"It's nothing special. And definitely not important at all." Peridot said, getting angry.
