"You want me to do what?" Pearl asked, standing next to the coffee table, confused on what was happening.

"You should teach Connie to sword fight! She's already so good at it!" Steven told.

"Steven!" Connie blushed at the praise.

"But you are! You helped me fight the robot floaty-thing, she took down that evil clone of herself, uh... those mean seagulls just now..." Steven shot back, explaining why Connie should start training.

"I don't know ... Connie is pretty young, and gem stuff is pretty dangerous." Y/n commented as he sat on the sofa in a relaxed position.

"Come on! Please?" Steven begged.

"I have to agree with Y/n on this one ..." Pearl said, unsure about the idea that she should train Connie.

"Please, I wanna learn!" Connie argued, blushing as she continued. "I mean, I don't know what'll happen in the future, but if something dangerous comes along, I don't wanna be a burden, I wanna help! I wanna be there for Steven, to fight by his side! The Earth is my home too, can't I help protect it?"

Pearl felt touched, almost crying tears of joy from that speech, but before she could respond, Y/n butted in. "That's all well and good, but fighting these gem monsters would be extremely dangerous ... You're too young to be doing that." Y/n told.

"But what about Steven? He gets to go on the missions?" Connie argued.

"That's different, he's half-gem ... You're fully human, I'm still not sure on the whole idea of Steven facing dangerous monsters on a daily basis, plus, he got kidnapped just last week!" Y/n told.

Pearl sighed; she knew Y/n was right. "Yes ... Unfortunately, Y/n is right ... Even with training, it wouldn't be wise to take you with us on missions."

"Aww man ..." Steven pouted while Connie let out a sigh.

Y/n felt bad for ruining their idea, but luckily, Y/n came up with one of his own. "Okay ... What if Pearl trains you, but only for self-defence? If that's okay with Pearl, of course."

"I can agree to that." Pearl nodded, liking the idea.

"Woohoo!" Steven cheered, throwing his arms in the air.

Pearl smiled and gestured for them to follow, Steven, and Y/n quickly followed with Connie responding with a confused face. "Wait, now?"

"The sooner the better right?" Pearl smiled as Connie quickly joined the three people already on the warp pad.

The familiar warp pad chime sounded, taking the four figures towards the best training area for Connie. Speaking of Connie, she was floating about in the warp stream, giggling from the 0g effect.

Y/n wasn't doing too much better since it was the first time he actually used this thing.

Either way, they soon appeared in front of a grand white entrance. Connie fell to the warp pad, continuing to giggle as the rest managed to land on their feet.

"You okay? It can take some getting used to." Steven informed with a smile.

"WOO!" Connie cheered still giggling from her first use of the warp pad.

"Are you okay, Y/n?" Pearl checked in, realising that it was his first use also.

"Yeah, I'm good, thanks." Y/n replied with a thumbs up, and a smile.

"Right then you three, this way." Pearl told, leading the three humans up the large steps, and through the entrance of the arena.

"Woah!" Connie commented at the sight she saw in front of her.
