"What's a 'wife'?" Peridot questioned as Y/n finished retelling the same story he told to the Crystal Gems. It wasn't as hard the second time around, but it was still pretty difficult.

Peridot and Lapis were sat on the sofa while Y/n was stood in front of them.

"A wife is ..." Y/n wiped the tears away, and stopped to think. He didn't think he'd have to explain such a simple part of human culture. "Someone I loved very much ... Similar to Ruby and Sapphire ... The love they share keep them bound as Garnet, but for humans, we can't fuse, so we get married."

"And you ... lost your Pierre ...?" Lapis asked, referring to the romance that both her and Peridot ship.

"Huh?" Y/n tilted his head, but soon realised. "Oh! Percy and Pierre ... Yeah, I guess you could say she was my Pierre." He sniffled.

"It's not only about Katherine though ... I lost my two children, Caroline, and Dominic." Y/n told, sadness returning to his voice. "Off-spring I guess you could say." Y/n added, aiming that towards Peridot as she didn't know too many human terms.

"Off-Spring? Simple! Make more!" Peridot proclaimed, trying to make Y/n feel better with her great idea.

Y/n shook his head. "It's not that simple, Peri." He rubbed his eyes again. "It takes time to love someone enough to have kids with them ... And once you do, you get attached as you see them grow ..."

Y/n stopped, taking as deep breath. "I didn't realise the pain went this deep, Y/n ..." Lapis said sympathetically as she stood up, and walked over to the human, taking him into a tight embrace. "You saved me from the mirror ... You took me in ... The best thing I can do is to try and help you."

Y/n quickly returned the embrace, but he was attacked once more, this time, from a smaller green gem. "Me too! You gave me a chance! You helped me grow!" Peridot said, starting to tear up. "It would only be fair that I, the great and lovable Peridot, help you do the same!"

"Heh ... Thanks guys ..." Y/n sniffled, feeling a little bit better from all the support he received from the gems. "It's gonna be difficult, but I'm happy you're there to help me."

Y/n let out a few more tears, tightening the embrace with Peridot, and Lapis.

No one wanted to separated, but sadly, it was Lapis that went first. "How are you feeling?" She questioned, knowing it was probably a stupid question, but after all the support he got from his friends, she hoped he was feeling a bit better.

"Honestly ..." Y/n said, looking at the two gems. "Pretty bad ... But I do feel a bit better ..."

"And what about these memories? You spoke to us about them before." Peridot asked, as the three fully separated, and sat on the sofa together, Lapis on the right, Y/n in the middle, and Peridot on the left.

"I'm still having them ..." Y/n sighed. "It's how I learnt about My family's ...Y'know."

"You'll tell us if you have any more, right?" Lapis asked concerned, wanting to make sure Y/n was open to her.

"I will ..." Y/n nodded as he sighed once more, just wanting to take his mind of things. "Why don't we watch something?"

"YES!" Peridot cheered, before blushing. "Er, I mean, that is acceptable."

---------------------------------

"NYAH! Why don't you trust me yet?!" Peridot yelled at Lapis.

"Because I need time, Peridot!" Lapis shot back.

The two-arguing caused Y/n to groan in his sleep, and before long, he opened his eyes. "What's ... Going on?" He asked as he looked at Lapis, and Peridot.
