Chapter 18

Siddharth's POV: 

We reached home and directly went to dada's room, where he was packing. 

Abhi: Tum dono itna late kaise ho gaye? { How did you both get so late?}

Avu: Wahi roz ka traffic tha. Aur hum nikle bhi aapke message ke baad the, hum kisi se baat kar rahe the. { The regular traffic. And we had left after your message, we were talking to someone.}

Abhi: Ok. Jai ek ghante mein aa jayega. Hum dono kal subah saath mein hi niklenge. { Ok, Jai will arrive within an hour. We both will leave together tomorrow morning.}

Sid: Thik hai. 

After that we went to our rooms. I came out after sometime to see Avu coming downstairs I didn't realise when I got lost in her. I am falling in love with Avu, but on the other side I am feeling something similar for Muskan. Though I have never seen her, I am falling for her. And at the same time, I am having similar feelings for Avu. I don't know whom I love truly, Avu or Muskan? Or is it none of them? They both are very similar to each other, but that doesn't mean I love two people. Why do these feelings have to be so confusing? I came back to my senses when someone shook me. 

Avu: Sid, kaha khoye hue ho? { Sid, where are you lost?}

Sid: Kahi bhi nahi. { Nowhere.}

Just then the bell rang, it must be Jai. I went and opened the door, I was right, it was Jai. 

Sid: Hey Jai. 

Jai: Hey Sid. Hey Avu. 

Avu: Hello. Tere bags kaha hai? { Hello. Where are your bags?}

Jai: Tu bhi janti hai papa ko. Of course mujhe akela nahi choda. Toh bags unke paas hai. { You also know papa. Of course he didn't leave me alone. So the bags are with them.}

Jai: Reem nahi hai ghar pe? { Reem is not home?}

Avu: Tere do dost khare hai, par phir bhi tujhe sirf Reem yaad aa rahi hai. { Two friends of yours are standing here, still you are remembering only Reem.}

Sid: Kabhi humse bhi baat karliya kar. { Talk to us also at times.}

Jai: Woh usually hall mein hi hoti hai isliye pucha maine bas. { I just asked because she is usually in the hall only.}

Avu: Woh hospital gayi hai job ke baare mein baat karne. { She has gone to hospital to talk about her job.}

Jai: Oh. Tum dono ka first day kaisa tha?  { Oh. How did your first day go?}

Sid: Bahut acha tha. { It was very nice.}

Avu: Tum dono baate karo, mai terrace par ja rahi hu thodi der. { You both talk, I am going to the terrace for sometime.}

Sid: Kyu? Kya hua achanak? { Why? What happened suddenly?}

Avu: Kuch nahi. Bas thoda sar dard kar raha hai. { Nothing. Just a bit of headache.}

Sid: Par dhyan rakhna. { But be careful.}

She nodded and went upstairs. 

Jai: Sid, Abhi kidhar hai? { Sid, where is Abhi?}

Sid: Dada ko last unke kamre mein hi dekha tha, packi... aa gaye. { I last saw Dada in his room, he was packi... he came.}

Abhi: Hello Jai... Avu kaha hai? { Hello Jai... Where is Avu?}

Jai: Terrace.

Abhi: Usko mana kiya tha maine. Tum dono rukho, mai aata hu. { I had asked her to not go there. You both wait, I'll be back.}

He went towards the terrace. I and Jai looked at each other confused by his behaviour. 

Sid: Terrace par chalke dekhe kya hua hai? { Shall we go to the terrace and see what is wrong?}

Jai: Thik hai, chalte hai. { Ok, let's go.}

But he looked unsure for some reason. We reached the terrace to see dada holding Avni by waist, both breathing heavily, with her hands on his chest. Just then dada said something to her, but we couldn't hear as they are far from us. 

Sid: Why are they breathing heavily? Maybe dada must have been running so, but why Avu?

Jai: They might have been kissing, seeing that they are standing really close and their position. Nothing unexpected since they are dating.

I was shocked hearing this. The last person I expected to be dating him was Avu. Why did they hide it from me? Is that the reason Avu keeps trying to keep Dada and Vaishu away? And what about my feelings, I fell for my brother's girlfriend. I saw Dada picking her up as she had fainted, which reminded me that I will be taking care of her for the next two weeks. 

Jai: Sid, kya hua? { Sid, what happened?}

Sid: Kuch nahi. Neeche chale? { Nothing. Let's go down?}

I asked, knowing he didn't see Avni faint, and I didn't want him to know also, or he would be tensed. He nodded and we both went downstairs. I took my phone and texted Muskaan. But she didn't reply, she hadn't come online since I last talked to her. I kept my phone aside. After sometime dada came downstairs. 

Abhi: Chote, mujhe Jai se competition ke baare mein kuch baate karni hai, tu Avu ko dekh sakta hai? { Chote, I have to talk to Jai about the competition, can you see Avu?}

Sid: Ha. 

I went to Avu's room and saw her lying on the bed, still unconscious. I went and sat next to her.
