Chapter 28

The meeting was fine, papa explained us about the project completely. As usual he used his cold tone as Sid was also there. I and Sid hadn't removed our glasses, so he didn't see his red eyes. After the meeting, Sid went out while I stayed. 

AD: Tum dono conference room kyu gaye the? { Why did you both go to the conference room?}

Avu: Abhi raaste mein hume pata chala ki Dadi ki death ho gayi hai. Sid aur Abhi bahut close the apni dadi se toh... { On the way we found out that Dadi had died. Sid and Abhi were very close to their dadi so...}

AD: Oh, Abhi ko bata diya? { Oh, did you tell Abhi?}

Avu: Nahi, abhi hum ghar jaane ki soch rahe hai. Aaj hum dono ka dhyan nahi lagega kaam mein. { No, right now we are thinking of going home. Today we both won't be able to concentrate on work.}

AD: Ok. Aur khudka bhi dhyan rakhna beta, mujhe pata hai tu bhi unki dadi se bahut pyaar karti hai. { Ok. And take care of yourself, I know you also love their dadi a lot.}

Avu: Hmm. Bye. 

AD: Bye. 

I went to the parking where Sid was waiting for me. 

Avu: Maine boss ko bata diya hai ki hum aaj office nahi ja rahe hai. { I have informed boss that we are not going to office today.}

Sid: Mujhe pata hai woh tere papa hai. Mana mat karna, us din unki aankho ko dekhkar hi pata chal gaya ki mai unhe janta hu.  Aur ab boss se do baar milne ke baad confirm ho gaya. { I know he is your father. Don't deny, that day seeing his eyes I understood that I know him. And now after meeting boss twice it got confirmed.}

Avu: Mujhe nahi pata tha bandar itne intelligent ho sakte hai. Par papa ko ye baat shayad hi pasand aayegi ki tum jante ho. Aur tum kisi ko nahi bologe ki wo mere papa hai. { I didn't know monkeys can be so intelligent. But I doubt dad will like you knowing. And you won't tell anyone that he is my father.}

Sid: Thik hai. { Ok.}

Avu: Acha ek baar papa ko phone lagana, unknown number hai jo xxxx se khatam hota hai. { Call dad once, it is an unknown number ending with xxxx.}

Sid: Tune number save nahi kar rakha hai? { You have not saved the number?}

Avu: Risk nahi le sakti. Unknown number toh koyi notice nahi karega. { I can't take the risk. No one will notice the unknown number.}

He called papa. 

AD: Hello Avu, sab thik hai na? { Hello Avu, is everything fine?}

Avu: Ha, actually Sid ne aapko pehechan liya papa. { Yes, actually Sid has identified you dad.}

AD: Sid hai waha? { Is Sid there?}

Avu put the call on speaker. 

Sid: Ha. 

AD: Beta, tumhe yeh nahi pata hona chahiye tha. Par tum yeh baat kisi ko bhi nahi bataoge, galti se bhi nahi. { You shouldn't know this dear. But you won't tell this to anyone, not even by mistake.}

Sid: Ji sir. { Ok sir.} 

AD: Ab toh tum uncle bhi bol sakte ho. Mai phone rakhta hu. Meeting hai meri. { Now you can call me uncle also. I'll keep the call. I have a meeting.}

He cut the call. 

Avu: Papa usually busy rehte hai, 3 alag companies chalana mushkil hai bahut. Ek designing, ek dance studio aur ek hotel. { Dad is usually busy, running three companies is very difficult. One designing, one dance studio and one hotel.}
