Chapter 29

Avu: Par apno ki death ke liye koyi bhi tayar nahi hota hai. Hum bas use accept kar sakte hai, dadi khush hokar gayi, is baat par khush ho sakte hai. Aur aage badh sakte hai. { But no one is ready for the death of their loved ones. We can just accept it, get happy by the fact that dadi went happily. And move on.}

He nodded. He let out all the grief in his tears, as he cried for some more time. Now he had completely calmed down, from inside also. After that we washed our faces and went downstairs to see Abhijeet downstairs. Abhi had fallen asleep. 

Avu: Woh thik hai na? { He is fine right?}

Jai: Bahut ro rahe the, phir neend aa gayi. { He was crying very much, then he fell asleep.}

I nodded. 

Avu: Mai Riya didi se baat karti hu. Funeral bhi karna hai, aur unki help bhi karni hai. { I will talk to Riya didi. We have to do the funeral, and help her also.}

They both nodded. I was going when I felt my head start aching, and everything was looking blurred. I bumped into something, but didn't touch the ground, instead I felt four hands holding me. I felt something wet on my forehead before everything turned black. I woke up in Jai's room, and I turned around to see no one. Just then someone entered, but the figure was too blurry. 

Sm1: Avu? 

I wasn't able to recognise the voice as my head was aching. Just then I felt someone hold my hand. I looked up to see that person was next to me now. I blinked a few times before I saw it was Jai. 

Avu: Jai? 

My throat felt to dry, so I held it. He gave me some water. 

Jai: Ab tu thik hai? { Are you fine now?}

Avu: Ha, bas sar dard kar raha hai. Hua kya tha? { Yes, my head is paining. What had happened?}

Jai: Zyada stress ki wajah se tu behosh hone lagi, jiski wajah se tujhe sab blurry dikhne laga. Phir tu gate se takra gayi, toh tere sar mein chot aa gayi, jiski wajah se tujhe dard ho raha hai. { Because of stress you started fainting, because of which everything started appearing blurry. Then you bumped into the door, so you got hurt in your head, that's why it is paining.}

Avu: Oh. 

Jai: Baaki sab bahar hi hai, unhe pata nahi hum ghar par hai. Sid ko bhi neend aa gayi thi. { Rest all are outside, they don't know we are at home. Sid also fell asleep.}

Avu: Hmm. 

We went out to see all standing in the hall, while the Nigam brothers were asleep on the sofa. 

Jaan: Avu, tere sar ko kya hua? Aur kaha the tum dono? { Avu, what happened to your head? And where were you both?} 

Avu: Mujhe lag gayi thi, isliye Jai patti bandhne andar le gaya tha. { I got hurt, that's why Jai had taken me inside to tie the bandage.}

Reem: Yeh dono hall mein kyu so rahe hai? { Why are these two sleeping in the hall?}

Avu: Aaj subah dadi ki death ho gayi, toh Abhi rote hue idhar hi so gaye. Sid unke sath rukha tha, toh use bhi neend aa gayi hogi.  { Today morning dadi died, so Abhi fell asleep here itself while crying. Sid was with him, so he must have also fallen asleep.}

All looked shocked. Though they had not met dadi many times, they loved her. 

Vaish: Dadi... kaise?  { Dadi... how?}

Just then I remembered that I had to talk to her helper. 

Avu: Mai aati hu, do minute. { I'll be back in two minutes.}

I went aside and called her. 

Riya: Hello? 

Avu: Mai Avneet bol rahi hu. { I am Avneet.}

Riya: Ma'am, kuch kaam tha? { Ma'am, you had some work?} 

Avu: Aapko kitni baar bola hai mujhe ma'am mat bola karo. Acha, mai bol rahi thi ki funeral ki date final karke mai aapko bataungi, toh aap aaoge na? { I've said you so many times to not call me ma'am. Anyways, I was saying that once the date of the funeral is decided I'll tell you, so you'll come right?}

Riya: Ha, zarur aaungi. { Yes, I'll come.}

Avu: Aur aap kaam dhund rahe ho, toh mai aapki kuch help kar sakti hu? { And you are searching for work, so can I help you with something?}

Riya: Tu tension mat le, mai dhund lungi. { You don't worry, I will find it.}

Avu: Thik hai. Mai aapse baadme baat karti hu. Aur apna dhyan rakhna. { Ok. I'll talk to you later. And take care.} 

Riya: Hmm. 

I cut the call before going outside. Sidshek had already woken up. 

Avu: Funeral kab rakhna hai? { When should we keep the funeral?}

Reem: Parso rakh sakte hai, shaam ko sabke kaam ke baad? { We can keep it day after tomorrow, in evening after everyone's work?}

All agreed. I called dadi's helper and informed her also. I then looked towards Sid, and raised an eyebrow, asking if Abhi was fine now, he blinked his eyes, meaning yes. I smiled and turned away. Just then the bell rang, I went and opened it to see Arhaan, and was angry. It took everything in me to not shut the door on his face. I didn't bother smiling at him. That's when I noticed Ari is also there. 

Avu: Ari, tu yaha? Aur iske saath kya kar rahi hai? { Ari, you here? And what are you doing with him?}

Ari: Wo tu aur Sid aaj nahi aaye, aur phone bhi nahi utha rahe the, isliye maine isse pucha ki ise tumhara address pata hai kya. { You and Sid didn't come today, and weren't picking the calls also, that's why I asked him if he knows your address.}

Avu: Oh, andar aaja. Tumhe andar aana ho toh aa sakte ho. { Oh, come in. You can also come in if you want to.}

I said the last part to Arhaan. We both went inside, and all were confused seeing her. 

Sid: Ari, tu yaha? { Ari, you here?}

Ari: Tum dono office nahi aaye aur phone bhi nahi utha rahe the isliye. { You both didn't come to office and weren't picking my calls also that's why.}

Just then Arhaan entered, and everyone smiled, except Abhi, who looked at me. 

Avu: Arhaan Ari ko yaha laya tha, kyunki Ari humara address nahi janti thi. { Arhaan had brought Ari here, because Ari didn't know our address.}

I said like I was saying to everyone, but it an answer to Abhi's confusion.
