After sometime Jaireem came out and Jai rushed to Avu.
Jai: Avu, mere saath chal. { Avu, come with me.}
Avu: Kaha? { Where?}
Jai: Tu pehle chal, raaste mein bata dunga. Jaldi. { You come first, I'll tell you on the way. Fast.}
They both went from there, while Abhi went to Vaish.
Avu: Jai, kaha ja rahe hai? { Jai, where are we going?}
Jai: Papa ne bulaya hai. Maa ki tabiyat kharab hai, aur humse milna chahti hai. { Papa has called. Maa is not feeling well, and wants to meet us.}
He said. But what scared Avu was, his eyes were loosing hope.
Avu: Jai, maa theek ho jayegi. { Jai, maa will be fine.}
Jai: Khudko ya ek dusre ko false hope dene se kuch nahi hoga. Pehle hi unki condition itni kharab thi, aur papa ne jab video call kiya tha aaj, maine maa ki halat dekhi thi. Aur kuch nahi toh as a doctor mai janta hu unke paas bahut kam wakt hai ab. { There is no use of giving ourselves or each other false hopes. Already her condition was so bad, and when dad video called today, I saw maa's condition. If nothing else then as a doctor I know that she has very little time left.}
Avu nodded. But she still had hope.
Avu: Pehle kyu nahi bola tabiyat itni kharaab ho chuki hai? { Why didn't you say me earlier that her condition had deteriorated so much?}
Jai: Achanak ho gayi, warna bukhaar hi tha bas. { It happened suddenly, otherwise it was just fever.}
They reached the hospital and Avu went to the reception while Jai went to park his bike. Soon he joined her and they went to their mother's room. Avu was shocked seeing AM, who looked lifeless laying there. She was awake, but too weak to sit up. She just turned her head to them and smiled.
AM: Jai, Avu.
Jaineet: Maa, aap... { Maa, you...}
They stopped, and hugged her, making sure she doesn't feel any pain. Just then AD came there and smiled seeing the three. He didn't interrupt them, but Jaineet sensed their father standing behind them and ran to him, hugging him. He caressed their backs, as they cried. He knew how difficult it would be for them to see her like that. They left him after sometime.
AD: Tum dono theek ho? { Are you both fine?}
They nodded.
AM: Jai, Avu.
They went back to her.
AM: Jai, tu Nandra studio chalayega na? { Jai, you will run Nandra studio right?}
Jai: Maa, mai doctor hu. { Mom, I am a doctor.}
AM: Maa hu teri, itna toh janti hu ki mere bete ko dance kitna pasand hai, aur wo use kitne ache se aata hai. { I am your mother, I know how much my son likes dancing, and how well he does it.}
Jai: Theek hai, mai Nandra dance studio chalaunga. { Ok, I will take the responsibility of Nandra dance studio.}
AM smiled at that.
AM: Kaash humare restaurant ko bhi koyi chala pata. { I wish someone could run our restaurant too.}
Avu suddenly remembered something, and smiled.
Jai: Kya hua di, smile kyu kar rahe ho? { What happened di, why are you smiling?}
Avu shook her head.
Avu: Kuch bhi nahi. { Nothing.}
AM: Tum dono apna dhyaan rakhna, aur Aman, Jai, ek dusre ka saath waapis kabhi mat chodna. { You both take care, and Aman, Jai never leave each other ever again.}
They both looked down with teary eyes. Avu looked at them and then at AM. She never got to know what exactly happened in detail, it was a very painful memory for them. Just then her phone rang, it was Sid.
Avu: Hello.
Sid: Avu, kya hua hai? { Avu, what's wrong?}
She was confused, how did he know something was wrong?
Avu: Huh?
Sid: Avu, mujhe pata hai ki tu udaas hai aur ro rahi thi, teri aawaz se pata lag raha hai, kya hua hai? { Avu, I know you are very sad and were crying, it's clear from your voice, what has happened?}
She exited the room and went to a corner so no one else could hear.
Avu: Maa ki tabyiat bahut kharab hai, Jai keh raha tha unke paas bahut kam wakt hai. Papa aur Jai bhi hai yaha. { Mom is very ill, Jai was saying she has very little time left. Even dad and Jai are here.}
Sid was completely shocked. Before he could answer they heard Jaan calling him.
Sid: Mai baadme baat karta hu, dhyan rakhna. { I will talk to you later, take care.}
Avu: Hmm, aur ghar mein kisiko mat bolna. { Hmm, and don't tell anyone at home.}
He hummed. She went back inside. The sight shocked her. AM was breathing heavily, AD was standing beside her, holding her hand.
Avu: Maa, papa, kya hua hai? { Mom, dad, what has happened?}
Jai: Avi, idhar aa. { Avu, come here.}
He said pulling her aside and said in a low voice so only she could hear.
Jai: Maa ko ab jana hoga. { Maa will have to go now.}
As soon as he completed the sentence, AM stopped breathing. AD stood still for few seconds before realising what happened.
AD: SONIA.
He fell on his knees, still holding her hand, which was turning cold. Avu had forgotten to cut the call, so Sid also heard and understood what happened. Just then the doctor came back, and his eyes widened when he saw AM is dead. Everyone knew it was about to happen, but not so soon.
AD: Tum dono ko ghar jana chahiye, idhar mai sab dekh lunga. { You both should go home, I will see everything here.}
They nodded, not wanting to trouble him. Jai dropped Avu at home.
Jai: Mai studio ja raha hu. { I am going to the studio.}
Avu: Theek hai, par zyada late mat karna. { Ok, but don't be there till too late.}
Jai: Hmm, bye.
Avu went inside while Jai went to the studio.
