Chapter 23

Ari: Hum dono bahar aa rahe the, par tujhe aur Arhaan ko baat karte suna, aur achanak Avu behosh ho gayi. { We both were coming outside, but heard you and Arhaan talking, and suddenly Avu fainted.}

He understood she fainted due to shock, as he knew how much she hated Arhaan Khan. He carried her outside anyways, with Ari beside him, unaware of the fact that his boss had come. He came towards the exit, but was confused when he saw Arhaan isn't there. Arhaan had gone to AD as he works just under AD, and was incharge of seeing after the employees, and confirm all the work is done properly. Since everyone was looking at AD, no one saw Sidneet and Ari, but AD saw them. He was about to say something but then saw Avneet, and was too shocked and worried to speak. Sid came away from the washroom soon, so no one notices he was coming from there with girls. AD went to him, and Sid was scared as he had seen AD see him come out. 

AD: What happened to this girl? 

He said in his usual cold voice. 

Sid: Sir, she had fainted suddenly, so I was taking her to hospital. 

He said this, not knowing he is talking to Avi's father. AD nodded and let those two go, as he knew Sid is her friend, and won't harm her. He didn't let Ari go though, as he didn't know her. The topic was forgotten soon as he did the work he was there for, but he was still worried about Avu. Here, Sid took Avu home, and after sometime she regained consciousness. 

Avu: Hum ghar kab aaye? { When did we come home?}

Sid: Tu behosh ho gayi thi, isliye mai tujhe ghar le aaya. { You had fainted, so I brought you home.}

Slowly Avu remembered about Arhaan, and immediately tensed up. Sid saw this and understood she remembered about Arhaan. 

Sid: Avu, tu itni zyada tension mat le, tu thodi der aaram kar. { Avu, you don't take so much tension, you take rest for sometime.}

Avu: Mujhe Abhi se baat karni hai. { I have to talk to Abhi.}

Sid: Par Dada abhi studio par hoge, bacho ko sambhal rahe hoge. { But Dada must be at studio right now, he must be handling the children.}

Avu: Par mujhse unse baat karni hai. { But I have to talk to him.}

Sid: Avu, wo Rajasthan pahuch kar phone karenge, tab tu baat kar lena. { Avu, he'll call once he reaches Rajasthan, talk to him at that time.}

She reluctantly agreed. 

Sid: Waise Avu, boss ke saamne mera first impression ikdam alag raha hoga, tera aur Ari ka bhi. { Btw Avu, my first impression of mine in front of boss would have been completely different, even yours and Ari's.}

Avu: Boss? Mr.Nandra bhi the waha par? { Boss? Mr. Nandra was also there?}

Sid: Ha. Tujhe lene mujhe andar aana pada tha, kyunki Ari tujhe bahar nahi la pa rahi thi. Par jab hum bahar aaye, boss ne hum teeno ko dekh liya tha. Kismat achi thi jo unhone mere ladies washroom se nikalne ke baare mein kuch nahi bola, warna sabko pata chal jata. { Yes. I had to come in to take you, Ari wasn't able to bring you out. But when we came out, boss saw the three of us. Our luck was good that he didn't say anything about me coming out of ladies washroom, otherwise all would have found out.}

Avu: Tumne mere Gastroenteritis se related toh kuch nahi kaha na? { You didn't say anything related to my Gastroenteritis right?}

Sid: Nahi, maine bas bola ki tu achanak behosh ho gayi thi, toh mai tujhe hospital leja raha hu. Aur mai janta hu tu shock ki wajah se behosh huyi thi. { No, I just said that you had suddenly fainted, so I am taking you to the hospital. And I know you had fainted due to shock.}

Avu: Ok. 

Just then Avu's phone rang, and she knew it was her father. 

Sid: Phone dekh na. { Check the phone no.}

Avu: Papa hai. Tu phone uthake bol de ki mai behosh hu, aur doctor ne bola hai ki maine kal se thik se nahi khaya hai isliye behosh ho gayi. { It is dad. You pick the call and tell him that I am unconscious, and that doctor has said I didn't eat anything properly yesterday so fainted.}

Sid: Tune phone dekha bhi nahi. Aur jhoot kyu bolna? { You didn't even see the phone. And why to lie?}

Avu: Pls na. Maine bola toh papa ko pata chal jayega mai jhut bol rahi hu, aur sach bola toh stress mein aa jayege. Aur phone speaker par rakhna. { Pls no. If I say papa will understand I am lying, and if I say the truth he'll get stressed. And keep the phone on speaker.}

Sid agreed and answered the call. 

Sid: Hello. 

AD: Hello, kaun bol raha hai? { Hello, who is speaking?}

Sid: Mai Siddharth bol raha hu, Avneet ka dost. { I am Siddharth, Avneet's friend.}

AD: Oh. Wo kaha hai? { Oh. Where is she?}

Sid: Avu behosh ho gayi thi toh mai use hospital laya tha. Kal se usne thik se nahi khaya toh kamzori ki wajah se behosh ho gayi. { Avu had fainted so I had brought her to the hospital. She hadn't eaten anything properly since yesterday so fainted due to weakness.}

AD: Mai usse baat kar sakta hu? { Can I talk to her?}

Sid: Uncle, woh uthi nahi hai abhi tak. Mai use bol dunga ki aapne phone kiya tha. { Uncle, she hasn't woken up. I will tell her that you had called.}

AD: Thik hai beta, thank you uska khayal rakhne ko. { Ok beta, thank you for looking after her.}

Sid: Isme thank you kaisa. { What's there to thank me in this.}

AD: Acha mai ab phone rakhta hu, bye. { Ok I'll keep the call now, bye.}

Sid: Bye. 

AD cut the call. 

Sid: Sahi keh rahi thi tu. Kamzori se behosh ho gayi isme hi itni tension kar rahe the wo. { You were right. Hearing that you fainted by weakness only he got so tensed.}

Avu: Hmm. Waise kal tu mera phone dressing table par rakh kar kyu gya? { Hmm. Btw why had you kept my phone on the dressing table yesterday?}

Sid: Mujhe pata tha tu bahut aalsi hai pura room check karne ko phone ke liye, isliye udhar rakha. Aur agar mai le jata, toh tu uthti kaise? Tere room mein koyi alaram clock toh hai nahi, toh of course tu mobile ke alaram se hi uthiti hogi. { I knew that you are too lazy to check the whole room for your phone, so kept it there. And if I would take it, how would you wake up? There is no alarm clock in your room, so of course you must wake up by alarm.}

Avu: Sirf ek do mahine mein itna kuch jaan liya hai mere baare mein? { In just 1-2 months you found out so much about me?}

Sid: Phir bhi aisa lagta hai ki mai tujhe bilkul nahi janta, teri life secrets se bhari hai. Tera chehra padh sakta hu, lekin teri aankhein nahi. { It still feels like I don't know you at all, your life is filled with secrets. I can read your face, but not your eyes.}

I looked in his eyes, there was an unknown emotion in them. 

Avu: Kayi baar mera man karta hai ki tujhe apne saare secrets bata du, par wo mere akele ke nahi hai, koyi na koyi juda hai un secrets se. Par ek secret hai, jo sirf mera hai. { Many times I feel like telling you all my secrets, but they are not only mine, someone or the other is connected to them. But there is one secret, which is just mine.}
