Chapter 44

They both took out their phones and at the same time texted each other, as Ashu and Muskan. 

Musk: Hey Ashu. 

Ashu: Hey Muskan. Itne dino se baat hi nahi kar paye hai. { Hey Muskan. We haven't been able to talk since so many days.}

Musk: Hmm. Tu kya kar raha hai abhi? { Hmm. What are you doing right now?}

Ashu: Kuch nahi, meri dost se baat kar raha tha. { Nothing, was talking to my friend.}

Musk: Wah, mai bhi apne dost se baat kar rahi thi. { Wow, even I was talking to my friend.}

Just then Sidneet remembered they were talking and looked up. 

Sidneet: Baadme baat karenge, mai apne dost se baat kar raha/rahi hu. { We'll talk later, I am talking to my friend.}

Sid: Tere dost ka naam kya hai? { What is your friend's name?}

Avu: Ashu, aur teri? { Ashu, and yours?}

Sid: Muskan.... 1 second, Ashu? 

Avu: Muskan? 

Sidneet: Iska matlab tu Muskan/Ashu hai? { That man you are Muskan/Ashu?}

Sid's POV: 

Maine Avu aur Muskan se pyaar kiya, par Muskan hi Avu nikli. Ab toh milne se raha mujhe apna pyaar. { I fell for Avu and Muskan, but Muskan is Avu only. Now there is no way I'll get my love.}

Avu's POV: 

Do baar pyaar hua, dono baar Sid nikla. Ab toh milne se raha mujhe apna pyaar. { I fell in love twice, both the times it turned out to be Sid. Now there is no way I'll get my love.}

End of POV. 

Avu: Ab toh chat karne ki bhi zarurat nahi hai, face to face baat karte hi hai roz. { Now there is no need of chatting, we talk face to face everyday.}

Sid: Ha. Tu Muskaan hai jaan kar acha bhi lag raha hai aur bura bhi, Ashu aur Muskaan banke baat karte the tab alag hi feeling aati thi. { Yes. Knowing you are Muskaan feels good and bad, talking as Ashu and Muskaan gave a different feeling.}

Avu: Sahi kaha, humne alag hi duniya bana li thi. Hum main topic toh bhool hi gaye. Vaish ke maa baap ka kya? Wo kabhi unke against nahi jayegi. { You are right, we had made a different world only. We forgot about the main topic only. What about Vaish's parents now? She'll never go against them.}

Sid: Sach kahu toh Vaishu ke parents meri samajh ke ikdam bahar hai. Wo na kabhi apni beti ke liye uske paas the, na kabhi unhe woh pyaar diya jo parents ko apne bacho ko dena chahiye, parents hote hue bhi unka pyaar nahi mila unhe. Aur jab wo khud kuch karna chahe, ya apne tarike se jeena chahe, toh wo beech mein aa jayega. Bolenge hum tumhare parents hai aur tumhare liye acha hi chahte hai, aur unki life ke decisions lenge, unki life control karenge. { Truly speaking her parents are out of my understanding. They were never there for her, nor did they ever give her the love which parents should give their children, despite having parents she never received that parental love. And when she wants to do anything, or wants to live by her way, they'll come in between. They'll say they are her parents and want good for her, and take the decisions of her life, control her life.}

Avu: Vaishu unse itna pyaar karti hai, ki sab maan bhi leti hai. Un dono ki jab marzi hoti hai strangers ban jate hai, jab marzi hoti hai parents. Aur unka bahana, Vaishu ke liye hi paise kamate hai hum, aur kaam ki wajah se dur rehna padta hai. Itna bhi kya busy hote hai ki apni beti ko phone bhi nahi kar sakte, birthday par bhi nahi. Mere papa bhi toh busy rehte hai, par phone par baat karte hai. Aur time nikal kar milne bhi aa jaate the jab ho sake. { Vaishu loves them so much, that she listens to them every time. According to their wish they become strangers or her parents. And their excuse, we earn for Vaishu only, and have to stay away due to work. How busy are they that they can't even call their daughter, not even on her birthday. Even my father is usually busy, but still calls me. And by taking out time he comes to meet me also whenever possible.}  

Just then Vaish came there. 

Vaish: Sona nahi hai tum dono ko? Tabse idhar ho, pata nahi kya baate kar rahe ho. { Don't you both want to sleep? You both are here since so long, god knows what you are talking about.}

Avu: Ja rahe hai. Aap nahi soye? { We are going. You din't sleep?}

Vaish: Sone hi ja rahi thi, tum dono ko check karne aayi thi. Ab tum dono ja kar so jao. { I was going to sleep only,  just came to check on you both. Now you both go and sleep now.}

Sidneet: Hmm. 

Vaish also went to sleep, but Sidneet were in no mood of sleeping. 

Sid: Mujhe kuch khaane ka man kar raha hai. { I want to eat something.}

Avu: Mera bhi. Kya khaaye? { Even me. What shall we eat?}

Sid: Kulfi?

Avu: Na. Ice cream?

Sid: Na. Maggie?

Avu: Na. Pasta?

Sid: Na. Um...

Avu: Kulfi hi kha lete hai. { Let's eat kulfi only.}

Sid: Toh pehli baar mana kyu kiya? Itna time bhi waste nahi hota. { Then why did you deny at first? So much time wouldn't have been wasted.}

Avu chuckled. 

Avu: Sorry, ab chale? { Sorry, let's go now?}

Sid: Ha chalo. { Yes let's go}

Avu wrote a note and Sid kept it in Avu's room on the bed before they left so others know where they have gone. They both were eating their kulfies when Sid suddenly stood up. 

Sid: Avni, mujhe mil gaya dada aur Vaishu ki help karne ke liye idea. { Avni, I got an idea to help dada and Vaishu.}

Avu: Acha, bata. { Oh, say it.}

Sid: Mai dada ko bolunga mai kisi ladki se pyaar karta hu, aur proposal idea lunga jo unhe pasand ho. Phir hum Vaishu ko mana lenge dada ko propose karne ke liye, aur mai apne proposal ke naam par dada ko le aaunga. Bas ye sochna hai ki Vaishu ko kaise manaye. { I will tell dada that I love some girl, and take a proposal idea that he likes. Then we'll convince Vaishu to propose dada, and on the name of my proposal I'll bring dada. We just have to think of how to convince Vaishu.}

Avu: Wo tu mujh par chod de. Waise Sid, tu kisise pyaar karta hai kya? { You leave that on me. Btw Sid, do you love anyone?}
