Chapter 38

Vaish: Acha wo sab chodo, Sid, Arhaan ka call aa raha tha tumhare liye, usne bola na tum utha rahe ho na Avu. Use kal ki kisi meeting ke baare mein baat karni thi. { Ok leave all that, Sid, Arhaan had called saying neither you were picking the call nor Avu. He had to talk about some meeting of tomorrow's.}

Avu: Hum baat kar lenge usse kal subah office mein. { We'll talk to him in the office tomorrow morning.}

Reem: Avu.

Just then she saw Vaish.

Reem: Aap yaha? { You here?}

Avu: Unhe mujhse aur Sid se kaam tha. { She had some work with me and Sid.}

Reem: Mai apne room mein ja rahi hu. { I am going to my room.}

Avu: Thik hai. Good night. { Ok. Good night.}

Reem: Good night.

Vaish: Mai bhi ja rahi hu. Good night. { Even I am going. Good night.}

Sidneet: Good night.

Vaishreem went and Sidneet went inside to see Abhi almost asleep. His sleep was still very light but they didn't wake him up and went out. 

Sid: Abhi kya karne wali hai tu? Dada ko nahi uthate hai. { What will you do now? I think it is better we don't wake up Dada.}

Avu: Abhi ke room mein so jati hu. { I'll go sleep in Abhi's room.}

They both went to see his room messed up, and no space to sleep on the bed.

Avu: Ab mai kaha sou? { Where shall I sleep now?}

Sid: Guest room?

Avu: Jai aya tha na shaam ko. { Jai had come in evening no.}

Sid: Tu apne room mein hi nahi so sakti? { You can't sleep in your room itself?}

Avu: Nahi. Tere dada na mujhe bistar ke neeche gira denge. { No. Your brother will make me fall from the bed.}

Sid: Toh Reem ya Vaishu ke room mein? { Then in Reem's or Vaishu's room?}

Avu: Reem Jai se baat kar rahi hogi, kyunki nikalte wakt wo phone kar rahi thi usko, aur Vaishu Arhaan se. { Reem must be talking to Jai, because while going she was calling him, and Vaishu with Arhaan.}

Sid: Jaan ke room mein? { In Jaan's room.}

Avu: Ha.

They both reached and Avu was about to knock when they heard some voices and both looked at each other.

Avu: Faisu bhi hai andar. Aur uske kamre mein bhi awaaz aayegi. { Even Faisu is inside. And the noise will come in his room as well.}

Sid: Ab sirf mera room bacha hai. Udhar hi so ja. { Now only my room is left. Sleep there itself.}

Avu: Aur koyi option bhi nahi hai. { There is no other option also.}

They both went and lied down on the bed.

Avu: Kal funeral ki tayari kaun kar raha hai? { Who is preparing for the funeral tomorrow?}

Sid: Dada aur Jai. 

Avu: W...

Sid: Uh Avu, baadme baat kare, mujhe bahut neend aa rahi hai. { Uh Avu, shall we talk later, I am feeling very sleepy.}

She nodded. Sid turned to the other side as a tear slid down his eye. His feelings for her kept increasing, and he was getting closer to Avu, but he knew he'll never be close enough for her to love him. Next morning Avu woke up with her head on Sid's chest and his arm wrapped around her, reminding her of the night all were seeing movie and they both were in a similar position, but sitting. Sid also woke up, but unlike Avu who wasn't affected, he felt more sad. 

Sid: Sorry. 

He went to get ready before she could say anything, and she was confused on why did he say sorry when it isn't the first time they were sleeping so close. She also went to get ready. Sid kept thinking about all the events from yesterday evening. He was just hurting himself, there was no chance Avu would love him. They went to the hall to see everyone waiting for breakfast, and sat down. 

Jaan: Good morning Sid, Avu. 

Sidneet: Good morning Jaan. 

Abhi: Avu, tu kaha soyi thi? { Avu, where did you sleep?}

Avu: Sid ke room mein. { In Sid's room.}

Sid noticed the teasing look Vaish gave them, and it hurt him on how they were so close that Vaish thinks they are dating, yet so far that they can never be more than friends. 

Sid: Chale? { Shall we go?}

Avu nodded and they left. They reached and went in to meet Ari and then went to Arhaan.

Arhaan: Hello Sid, hello Avu.

Sid: Tumhe meeting ke baare mein kya baat karni thi? { What did you want to say about the meeting?}

Arhaan: Wo mujhe batana tha ki aaj ki meeting mein kuch important instructions denge project ke baare mein, toh late mat hona. Aur samples parso hi submit karne hai. { I had to say that in today's meeting some important instructions will be given about the project, so don't get late. And samples have to be submitted day after tomorrow itself.}

Avu: Hum dono meeting attend nahi kar rahe hai. Tumhare boss tumhe aage ka bata denge. { We both are not attending the meeting. Your boss will tell you further.}

She went to her place and Sid went to his. Arhaan was confused listening them. How did they contact Mr. Nandra if he knows about it? There were no appointments yesterday and PA was on leave so they couldn't talk on the call also. Meanwhile with Avu, she was confused by Sid's behavior. She understood he is distancing himself from her. He didn't even talk with her or look at her the whole way, and last night also she felt like he is avoiding talking with her. 

Double update today as its Avneet's birthday.
