Chapter 51

Later in evening Jai came back. Even AD had done all the hospital formalities and arrangements, the funeral was after 4 days. Next day Sidshek got ready to leave. 

Sid: Dada, aap aapni bike lelo, mai apni le raha hu. { Dada, you take your bike, I am taking mine.}

Abhi: Theek hai. Mai phone lana bhool gaya, tu ja, mai ata hu. { Ok. I forgot to bring my phone, you go, I am coming.}

Sid went to the bikes while Abhi went and got his phone. He was about to leave when Reemneet saw him. 

Reem: Vaishu kaha hai? { Where is Vaishu?}

Abhi: Mujhe nahi pata hai. { I don't know.}

Reem: Aap date par nahi ja rahe ho? { You are not going on a date?}

Abhi: Nahi. Kyu? { No. Why?}

Reem: Aap pant shirt pehenkar studio jaate nahi ho, haat mein bike ki keys hai aur jacket bhi. { You don't wear shirt pant to go to the studio, have bike keys in your hand and jacket too.}

Abhi: Mai aur chote kahi ja rahe hai, aur waha thand ho sakti hai isliye jacket liya hai. { I and Sid are going somewhere, and it can be cold there that's why I have taken the jacket.}

Avu: Aapko nahi pata kaha ja rahe ho? { You don't know where you are going?}

Abhi: Nahi. Woh batane ko tayar nahi hai. { No. He isn't ready to tell me.}

Sid: DADA, KITNI DER? { DADA, HOW LONG?}

Abhi: AA RAHA HU. Bye. { I'M COMING. Bye.}

Reemneet: Bye. 

Sidshek left. They reached some forest area and Sid stopped the bike after sometime. 

Abhi: Hum jungle mein kyun aaye hai? { Why have we come to a jungle?}

Sid: Bataunga, par pehle aapko aankhe band karni hogi. { I'll say, but you'll have to close your eyes first.}

Abhi: Par kyu? Mai gir gaya toh? { But why? What if I fall?}

Sid: Kuch nahi hoga. { Nothing will happen.}

Abhi: Thik hai. { Ok.}

Sid helped him walk, and they stopped after sometime. 

Sid: Ab khol lo. { Open it now.}

Abhi opened his eyes and looked around to find Sid nowhere. 

Abhi: Sid, ka...

He stopped when he saw the cabin in front of him. Sid came from behind the cabin, with a key in his hand. 

Sid: Aapko yaad hai aaj kya hai? { Do you remember what is it today?}

Abhi: Mom dad ki anniversary. { Mom dad's anniversary.}

Sid: Aur ye ghar? { And this house?}

Abhi: Maa ne mujhe is ghar ki tasweer dikhai thi jab mai 7 saal ka tha, bola tha ki ye unka aur papa ka khaas ghar hai, par kabhi ye nahi bataya ki kaha hai. { Mom had showed me a photo of this home when I was 7 years old, she had said that this was hers and dad special house, but never said where it is.}

Sid: Mujhe bhi is ghar ki tasweer dikhai thi jab mai 7 saal ka tha, aur mujhe bhi nahi bataya kaha hai. Uske baad waapis is ghar ke baare mein baat nahi kari. { Even I was shown it's photo when I was 7, and even I wasn't said where it is. After that this house was never mentioned again.}

Abhi: Is ghar mein 7 tasweere hai, isliye hume 7 saal ki umar mein iski tasweer dikhai thi. Par tujhe yeh ghar kaise mila? { This home has 7 photos, that's why we were showed it's photo at the age of 7. But how did you find this house?}

Sid: Jis din dadi ne hum chaaro ko bulaya tha, unhone kaha tha ki unke jaane ke baad mai humare puraane ghar jakar mummy ka jo chota locker hai wo kholu, us mein ek kaagaz par iske baare mein likha tha. { The day dadi had called the four of us, she had asked me to go to our old home and open mom's small locker after she passes away, in that locker I found a paper on which the address of this house was written.}

Abhi: Yaad hai mom dad har anniversary par yaha aate the? Aur peeche hum koyi na koyi kalakaari karte hi the. { You remember mom dad used to come here on their every anniversary? And behind at home we would do some or the other mischief.}

Sid: Ha. Acha pehle andar chale? { Yes. Let's go in first?}

Abhi: Hmm. 

They both entered, looking around. It was the first time they were seeing it from inside. It felt warm and comfortable there. Everything was organised properly, but covered with white covers. They understood that their parents always covered everything as they wouldn't come back for a whole year. And remove it when they come. Sidshek removed all the covers on the first floor. Then they went to the second floor, only one room was there. It had one swing next to the room. Even the swing was covered, so they had removed the cover. They went in the room and looked around. Though dusty, it still looked clean. The cupboards and shelves were empty, and nothing was covered there. The room was very beautiful. Then they went down again not finding anything else. 

Sid: Yeh ghar bahut sundar hai. Par wo 7 tasweere?  { This house is very beautiful. Both those 7 photos?}

Abhi: Humne wo deewar nahi dekhi. { We didn't see that wall.}

He said pointing towards the wall which was on the top floor, on the opposite side of the wall where the room was. They went to the wall, and it was plain white unlike the other coloured walls.  

Abhi: Woh dekh kone mein. { Look at the corner there.}

Sid went and pulled the fold on the top right corner after climbing on a chair he brought, and the sheet covering the wall fell down completely, revealing the family sky. The pictures had lights in the middle top, making the pictures shine like stars. The wall was painted dark blue, making it look like the night sky. They could see every member of the Nigam family. On the side, there were the couples of the family. They realised it was 7 couples. There were two notes. On the 1st note it was written:
