12. Fire works

2 weeks later

Her dad had of course found out about what happened but her dad being himself shut her out from everyone. Lee wasn't aloud to leave unless it was picking the kids up from school. She didn't really talk to anyone beside an occasional answer to one of JJs many "are you ok?" texts.

Lydia lays in her bed with Rocket at her side. Her dad had been out since yesterday but she didn't dare leave the house and the kids where at school. On the bright side Rafe was sentenced to 6 months in jail which is bullshit for what he did. Everyone thought he deserved at least 2 years but there was nothing they could do about it.

Lee hadn't done anything with herself, she hadn't showered or even brushed her hair because she couldn't get out of bed. "Lee!" she heres a girls voice from the bottom of the stairs. "It's Kie!" the girl continues while opening the door. "h-hey" Lee smiles while wiping away tears.

Kiara hops in bed next to her "John B has had Sarah over a few times, she's really sorry about her brother"

"I don't need her pity" Lydia groans "I think you need a shower becauseeeee JJ wants you to go to out with him" Kie smiles.

"Tell him to cancel... and that I'm sorry"

"Nope! You're going go shower and I'm going to get you clothes ok?" Kie smiles "fine" Lee agrees. She gets up and goes into the shower washing off her body and hair. When she gets out Lee puts on a pair of comfy biker shorts and an oversized t-shirt before trying to brush the knots out of her hair.

"Kie can you help me?" Lee asks and Kie of course does. "JJ told me he loves me"

"Of course he loves you, I've never seen JJ care about anyone that much Lee"

Lydia smiles "hello ladies!" they hear JJ run up the stairs and into the bathroom. He smiles at Lee and gives her a hug along with a kiss on the forehead. "you ready?" JJ smiles. Lydia looks over at Kie who flashes a "you got this" smile. "ya let's go bub" Lee giggles while walking out the door.

JJ opens his passenger side door for her "I know you need to be back in 2 hours for the kids but we can go get them alright?"

"ya and um jj...."

"ya"

"thank you"

JJ smiles probably he biggest he ever has, it brought him so much serotonin when he could help. He starts his truck and they drive to... the beach. Surprise surprise it was the only place they ever go.

The blonde boy grabs his back pack from the trunk "we need to make a fire" he states "why?" Lee questions "Just do it"

They gather wood and leaves to make a small fire "ok what are you doing?" Lydia giggles as Jj rummages around his bag and hands her a piece of paper and a pencil. "I saw that writing down your built up anger then burning it helps and seeing how we both have shitty lives I thought it would help, and I thought you could burn this" he says pulling out the clothes from the night of the party. Lee stares at them as everything comes back to her.

JJ said this was therapeutic or something? I don't know what I'm feeling but I know I'm sick of everyone's bullshit. Rafe Cameron fucking raped me and what can I do about it? NOTHING I CANT DO ANYTHING!!! my dads am abusive asshole and I think that serves for itself. IM IN LOVE WITH JJ
But I can't admit it, like my mother said "men are full of shit and you don't need one because love is some sick and twisted game you don't wanna get into" so I won't. JJs my best friend I can't date him no matter how bad I want to because I'm not getting heartbroken again. I'm done with all the cheating, and fucked up men and abusive dads. IM. FUCKING. DONE.

I told Lee this was gonna help and to be honest I made that up I didn't hear it anywhere but here we are now. I'm sick of my dad he can literally fuck himself. My mom left when I was little and I'll never forgive her for that. Rafe Cameron raped my best friend and I didn't stop him you know how shitty that makes me? Really fucking shitty. It makes me so mad I wanna snap his neck but I can't cause then I'd be in jail soooo that's crossed off the list of ways to make him feel even an ounce of her pain.

"You ready?" JJ smiles and Lee nods in agreement. They take the paper and throw it in the fire, both of them feeling a mix of emotions. JJ hands her the clothes with a smile. Lee takes them in her hands "fuck you rafe" she grins while throwing it in. "That's my girl!" JJ laughs watching her emotion change from angry to relived. Lee and JJ holler in happiness, he hadn't seen her happy in weeks so this was new to for him.

JJ picks up Lee and spins her around. Her legs wrap around his torso and he holds his own hands under her butt so he's not literally holding her butt. JJ had always been respectful towards woman even if they weren't to him. Lee smiles and kisses him softly sending fireworks through his body. "I love you" she whispers. "and... I don't wanna be afraid of love anymore"
