Standing over the bathroom sink waiting for the beep of a pregnancy test is the most anticipating moment moment of anyone's life. It was actually JJ who suggested getting the test, and even tho they definitely weren't ready Lee secretly hoped for another baby.
Maybe it was the grief or baby fever but she hoped for what she called it... a rainbow baby. If you don't know what that is it's when a loved one passed and you get pregnant right after.
beep!
Lydia flips the test over to reveal 2 lines... positive. A huge sigh comes out of Lee as she hadn't realized how long she'd been holding her breath.
"you ok in there Lee?"
Mmmm fuck.
"y-ya ya I'm good Jay just ummm lady days"
JJ quickly shuffles away from the door, he was always weird like that. In a panic Lee shoves the test deep into her pocket and walks out of the bathroom.
"hi baby" JJ says while hugging her from behind and kissing her neck. They'd yet to clean out Raes room, it had gone untouched.
Lee had been trying to figure out how to tell JJ about the baby and she had thought up a plan. Not an extravagant one but it'd do.
A few hours has passed, it's go time baby.
She grabs JJs hand and pulls him into Raes room. It smelled like that shitty perfume to always wore. The pictures of her and Caden still hung on the wall. Off topic but Caden still came around sometimes, he's a good kid.
"so.... we're gonna have to redo this room"
JJs face changes to confusion before processing everything. "holy shit Lee!" he laughs while picking her up and spinning her around. She giggles at the man and clings onto him.
He sets her down and she reaches into her pocket, handing him the test. They both are getting flash backs from this 16 years ago.
It was all happy until Lee processed something. What if the same thing happens again? "You ok Liddy?" JJ smiles pushing her hair behind her ear.
"it's just- what if it happens again?"
Good point, but it wasn't. Well they'd like to think it wouldn't. He pulls her into a hug and fiddle with the test behind her back. "it's not, but if it does i'm gonna be right here the whole damn time" he smiles and kisses her cheek.
"have I ever told you how much I love you?" the brunette giggles. JJ puts his fake thinking face on. "mmm only a few... million times" he chuckles.
They stand there embraced in each other's arms, soaking one an other in. Maybe this was it? maybe this was their fresh start.
