Third Person POV

The next morning Thana wakes up in the arms of Cal. She can hear his soft breathing and she can hear how calm his heart is. Thana smiles and slowly gets up. She puts her shoes on and quickly leaves the room. She goes to the cafeteria and grabs them both something to eat. As she walks back she takes in the fresh air. The breeze through her hair. And the sunlight on her face. She can hear the faint sound of people laughing and talking. She can feel love in the air. It seems as though it is coming from someone in the greek area.

But she pays no mind to it. She quickly goes back to her cabin. Hoping that Cal is still there. When she opens the door she smiles as she sees Cal sitting up in her bed. One hand rubbing the sleep from his face and the other running through his hair. "Morning."' Thana says as she shuts her door. Cal looks at her and smiles sleepily. "Morning," Cal says back, his voice deeper than normal due to just waking up. Thana smiles at him and hands him his drink and his muffin.

"You know, one of these days I need to wake up before you and get you food. So then you can have breakfast in bed." Cal says with a smile. "I like getting you food." Thana tells him as she sits on her bed next to him. "Oh, I got the pictures printed out for you." Cal says as he gets up and grabs his jacket from the day before. He pulls out an envelope full of pictures and hands them to the girl. "Thank you!" Thana says happily as she gets up. She hugs Cal tightly and he hugs her back.

They both sit back down and begin to eat. All the while they look through the pictures they got taken together. Thana laughs as she gets to one of the ones she took using cals phone. They were both by a small pond that had ducks and geese. Thana got a picture of a goose chasing Cal around. And cal smiles at the picture as he remembers the sound of Thanas laugh that night. He wishes he could get a video of her laughing. Just so he will always remember it. Just in case something happens to her.

Thana looks over at cal with a smile. "Thank you Blueberry." She says, A small blush coming over he cheeks as she remembers the last time she called him that. "For what Star?" Cal asks, His own blush forming on his face. "Everything. Helping come out of my shell. Helping me learn. Hell teaching me. Making it so I have someone to lean on when I need it. Being my shoulder to cry on. Being here for me. Just... Everything." Thana says as she looks Cal in his eyes.

"Your welcome. But I have to thank you." Cal says himself. Thana looks at him confused. "For what? I haven't done anything for you." Thana says as she knits her eyebrows together. "Yes, you have. You've done so much. You have helped me adjust to this new world. You've been here for me. You've made me a bit more adventurous. So thank you Star. For everything." Cal says. But what the other doesn't know is that they are both thinking the same thing.

'Thank you for showing me what love is. And thank you for being that person.' But neither of them would ever say that. Instead, they hug. Trying to push out those emotions to one another. But too nervous and shy to tell the other what is on their minds. Even though Cal knows Thana feels the same way he does. He can't bring himself to tell her. His mind telling him that he is not good enough for the perfect girl in front of him.

And Thana not telling him because she has no idea if he feels the same way she does. And she is afraid he will see all her insecurities. Afraid he will notice all the things about herself that she notices. All the bad things. Afraid if she tells him, he will laugh. Afraid he will toy with her. Even though she knows he would never do that. But her mind tells her otherwise. Afraid he will hurt her like people in the underworld did. So instead. She convinces her mind that he is just her best friend.

Nothing more. Nothing less. They are just friends. He could never know the truth. She can never tell him. If she does then... A target will be put on his back. Her father and aunt will try to hurt him to get to her. Even though they haven't done anything yet. Thana knows they will. Her aunt has already tried to kill her. So now. She must keep her feelings hidden. Not just for her sake. But for his. For Cal. She can't let him get hurt. So she must act fine. They let go of the long hug. Both of them trying to hide the tears in their eyes.

"I got to get back. I need to talk to Davis. I will see you later." Cal says as he gets up. "Okay, be safe." Thana tells the boy. Cal smiles and nods his head. He then leaves. The door closing softly behind him. And thana stares at the door. Wishing he would come back to tell her that he loves her. Like she wishes he does. But she knows that won't happen. He can't love her. No matter how much it hurts. Thana knows she will be alone... Forever. She will never have someone to love.
