Third Person POV

The rest of the night seems to be a blur. Everyone was talking and laughing. Inpu proposed to Bryan. It was so sweet and cute. Thana couldn't help but hope one day someone would propose to her. And that thought led her to think of Cal. The man who she has had feelings for, for quite some time now. But she will never tell him. But maybe... Maybe one day she could get the courage. But who knows when that day will be. Or if that day will ever come.

Thana watches as everyone runs to the bar. Cal reluctantly leading them all there. But Thana stays at the fire. The flame dancing in her eyes. She can feel the heat from the fire warming her up. But she doesn't seem to care. Her mind is somewhere else. That is until she hears a voice. One that she wishes she never hears again. But she knows the voice will always try to annoy her. "WhY aRE YoU hEre?? No oNE WaNTs YOu hERe. YoU sHOULd lEave. JusT trANsFOrm. It WiLL bE eAsIer. No OnE WilL mISse YOu." The voice says.

Thana sighs and looks down at her lap. "I don't want to hear it today... Auntie." Thana says, catching the voice by surprise. "AHAHAHHAHA. sO yOu fouND oUt. ToOk YoU lONg eNouGH." The voice says while laughing. "What did you do with my mother?" Thana asks. "Oh HeR? tHAT cHeAtInG WhORe! I jUst TaUghT hER a LeASON." The voice says loudly to the girl staring at the fire. "She didn't cheat." Thana says, her voice stern. But the voice doesn't listen to her. Instead it taunts are more and more.

But Thana doesn't pay attention to the voice. Instead she gets up and walks to the water. She sits down and stares out at the water. Her mind racing, wondering if her mother is still alive. Or if she died trying to protect her. And the voice just keeps taunting her. Like an annoying ghost. Or a fly in her ear. But much like with everything else. Thana blocks it out. She begins to push away her emotions as she feels people leaving the bar. She now realizes how long she has been staring at the water. The only person still at the bar is Cal.

And he is now leaving. But as he leaves he notices the lone girl watching the water. A few tears streaming down her face. Cal walks over and sits next to the short girl. His arm wraps around her. "Do you want to know what my mom used to do when i was younger and sad?" Cal asks after a few minutes of silence. Thana glances at him and shakes her head. "She used to sing to me. She said music is the way to someone's soul. It's a way for people to cope and learn. It can uplift people." Cal tells the small girl.

Thana smiles a little. And after a few minutes of Silence. Cal breaks it. "A paper crown. And a heart made of glass. A tattered gown. And her kingdom of ash. She walks alone. She can never look back. The story of a queen whose castle has fallen to the sea. She'll make it out. But she's never the same. She's lookin' down. At the scars that remain. But you hold your ground. Though your kingdoms in flames. 'Cause it's the story of a queen who's castle has fallen to the sea. Knowing there's no one who will be. A king that will come and save his queen. When all she needs. And all she wants. When all she finds. When all she is, and ever was. Is compromised. 'Cause there's no one to love her when. You built your walls. Too high. And there's no one to love you when you build. Your walls. Too high. She's looking out. From the war that's inside. She's screaming out. 'Cause no one survived. But when you're all alone. You wait and you hide. 'Cause it's the story of a queen whose castle has fallen to the sea. Knowing, there's no one who will be. A king who will come and save his queen. When all she needs. When all she wants. And all she finds. When all she is, and ever was. Is compromised. 'Cause there's no one to love her when. You built your walls. Too high. And there's no one to love you when you build. Your walls. Too high. There is no one. Who is strong enough. To save your love. There's no fairytale. There's no fairytale. When all she needs. When all she wants. When all she finds. When all she is, and ever was. Is compromised. 'Cause there's no one to love her. You built your walls too high. And there's no one to love you when you trap yourself Inside" Cal finishes singing and looks down at the girl by his side.

Thana is leaned up against him with a smile on her face. Her eyes closed and her breathing soft. Cal smiles and kisses her head gently. He stands up and carefully picks up the sleeping girl. He walks with her in his arms back to the camp. He wanders into her cabin and turns on a dim lamp. Just so he can see what he is doing. He gently places Thana on her bed and takes off her satchel. He sits it on the couch in her cabin. He then gently takes off her jacket and places it next to her satchel.

He then takes off her shoes and puts them by her door. Cal looks at her and smiles when he notices she is wearing the necklace he had gotten for her. Cal grabs the blanket and pulls it over the girl. He kisses her forehead and goes to leaev. But before he can get to the door a hand wraps around his wrist. He looks back and sees Thana looking at him with tierd eyes. But there is also a pleading look in them aswell. Cal smiles and nods. So thana lets go of him and scoots over in her bed. Making room for the taller boy.
