Chapter 1 Page 12 (Rewritten)

Third Person POV

The next morning Thana wakes up cuddling up to something warm and soft. She buries more into whatever it is. It isn't till she hears a heartbeat does she realize that it's a person. She sits up making sure not to wake up the person. She begins to feel a panic attack coming on. That is till she sees who it is sleeping beside her. Thana's whole body relaxes as she sees it is just Cal. But she begins to blush when she realizes she was cuddling him. She slowly gets out of bed and puts on her mask. She looks around her room and sees everything is normal.

Thana now a little surprised Cal didn't snoop through her room. Cal mumbles softly in his sleep making Thana look at him. She smiles at him as he holds one of her pillows in his sleep. She quickly grabs a paper and pencil. And writes a small note. '-Morning Cal, If you wake up and I am not in my cabin then I am still getting us breakfast. You can just stay in my cabin until I get back. But if you do leave before I get back please write on this paper so I know someone didn't kidnap you or you didn't get hurt. I shouldn't be gone long. From Thana-' She looks over the note once more before sitting it on her nightstand.

She walks out of her cabin closing the door softly. She walks to the small cafeteria that is not too far from the Greek pantheon. She walks inside and grabs two blueberry muffins. (the best muffins) She also grabs some water. And makes her way out of the cafeteria. She walks back to her cabin. Now noticing how calm and relaxed her body and mind are. Something that is very uncommon for her. Her mind isn't racing like normal. She isn't as tired and she normally is. Her body isn't tensed up waiting for someone to attack her.

She believes that it is Cal's doing. He makes her feel safe. He never makes her feel uncomfortable. And he does everything he can to make sure she is ok. Thana's mind starts to wander a little to Cal. How when he smiles it seems like all Thana's problems melt away. How his eyes sparkle and light up when he speaks of something he enjoys. Or how his face lights up when he laughs. Many people make fun of his hair but... Thana loves his hair. She never knew she liked that color until she met him. And how when they walk side by side Cal will slow down his strides so Thana doesn't have to run to keep up with his long legs.

How when they watched anime together he would glance at her. How when she began to lean on him, he did the cheesy yawn arm over the shoulder thing. How if she doesn't understand something he will explain it to her, but he will make sure to make it so she doesn't feel stupid. How he is the only person who she will let hug her and she won't flinch or tense at the touch. Ever since the first day they got to know each other Thana has stopped purposely sensing his emotions. When he is around she turns off that ability or just excludes him from the ability.

Thana suddenly stops walking and puts a hand over her heart. 'Why is my heart beating so fast? I was only thinking of Cal' She notices the burning sensation on her cheeks. Meaning she is blushing. And her stomach starts doing flips and it feels like she has butterflies in her stomach. 'Why am I blushing? What is wrong with me? Sh-should I speak to someone about this? Am I sick? I'll ask Xylo about it later' She takes a deep breath and starts walking again. As she walks she settles her beating heart and her blushing face.

She makes it to her cabin and begins to hope Cal is still there. She opens her door and walks in shutting the door behind her. She looks inside and sees Cal wake and sitting on the couch. Thana smiles and takes off her mask. "Morning Cal" She says greeting him. Cal smiles at her "Morning Thana" He says as Thana sits on the couch next to him. She hands him water and a muffin. "Blueberry muffins for breakfast. Hope you like them." Thana says. "Blueberry muffins are my favorite. Thank you, Thana." Cal says flashing her a smile before he starts to eat.

Thana smirks a little. "Your welcome.... Blueberry." She says with a small smirk and giggle. Cal looks at her and laughs a little. "Blueberry?" He asks. "Yep, your new nickname is blueberry." Thana says smiling at him. She could have sworn she saw a blush on his face but she just brushes it off as nothing. Cal smiles and shakes his head with a small laugh. "Ok got it.... Star." Cal says back. Thana looks at him confused. "Star?" She asks this time. Cal smiles at Thana and nods. "Yeah Star" He says as he drinks some water.

Thana looks at him a little more confused. "Why Star?" she asks. Cal smiles and looks her straight in the eyes. "Because you shine as bright as a Star." Cal says. Thanas Face begins to burn as she blushes. She quickly looks away from Cal to hide her face. "Aww, are you blushing?" Cal asks, smirking as he already knows the answer. "N-no, I'm not." Thana says clearly flustered. Cal chuckles "I think you are." He says as he pokes her side. At the poke Thana squeaks and moves away from Cal. Cal smirks more knowing what he is going to do next.

"Are you ticklish?" Cal asks once again, already knowing the answer. "No!" Thana says a little too quickly. "I think you are." Cal says as he pokes her side again. Thana jumps up and goes to run away. But before she can get away Cal grabs her waist and turns her around. He pins her to the couch and begins to tickle her. Thana laughs loudly and tries to tell him to stop but she keeps getting cut off with more of her own laughs. "Tell me I'm the best and then I will stop." Cal says as he tickles her more.

Thana giggles more but speaks in between laughter. "Your *laughs* t-the *laughs* Bes-best" She says as she laughs more. Cal chuckles and stops tickling her. After they're both done laughing they realize what position they're in. Thana is pinned to the couch and Cal is on top of her pinning her down. They both look each other in the eyes. Both of their faces burning red. Cal quickly jumps off her apologies. They both say goodbye and Cal quickly leaves. Thana shuts the door after he walks out. And she leans against the wall trying to calm her beating heart.
