Billie.
December 10, 2018.
"She's doing just fine. She has ten stitches in the left side, she's lucky it didn't get any deeper, it didn't hit any vital organs. We are going to monitor her overnight and she'll be good to leave in the morning. She'll need to take it easy until the wound fully heals," a nurse explained to me while I nodded.
"W-why did she pass out?" I stuttered out. i think that's what scared me most, how her face went pale, her eyes fluttered shut and she went unresponsive.
"She was in shock, often that happens to people when the pain becomes too much."
"Can I go see her?"
"Of course," the nurse smiled, gesturing their hand to her hospital room door. I walked in slowly, the minute her eyes met mine she smiled softly at me, relaxing me a little. "Baby," I cooed, walking quickly up to her and placing my hands on her cheeks.
"I missed you," she admitted.
"I missed you too, baby," I kissed her sweetly. I was definitely being overdramatic when I thought she was dying but I genuinely had no idea what was going on. It all happened so fast and she didn't respond to me. "How do you feel?" I asked cautiously.
"I'm fine, just want to get out of here," she sighed.
"In a few hours," I assured her. There was a knock on the door before it slowly opened, my mom, popping her head inside. "How are you feeling?" She asked.
"I'm okay, just tired honestly," Sage answered with a small smile.
"Okay, sweetie. We are going to head home and we will leave my car here for you. Call me if you need anything," mom smiled. We said our goodbyes and I noticed Sage's eyes getting heavy.
"You can sleep my love," I whispered to her.
"Hold me?" she asked, scooting over carefully on the hospital bed. I nodded with a smile before laying next to her, lifting her head gently onto my chest and wrapping both my arms around her. She kissed my neck once before her eyes drifted shut and her breathing evened out. I just watched her. She is so precious and it only hit me now that Sophia is capable of a lot. I was mad when she put a rock in front of Sage's apartment but I wasn't scared. Now she somehow got my address or followed us and had the guts to throw a rock at my window.
I quickly dialled Finneas' number and he picked up immediately. "Finneas," I spoke before he could.
"Everything okay?" He asked.
"Sage is okay but I need you to do me a huge favour," I spoke urgently but quietly being careful not to wake up Sage.
"Anything."
"As soon as you get back to the house I need you to pick up the rock that was thrown at the window. No one else can see it, I swear to god if you tell any-"
"Billie, are you in trouble?" He asked seriously, cutting me off.
"I don't know yet," I sighed, "but right now, no one can know about this. Please," I begged.
"Yeah, okay. But if this starts getting serious, we need to tell someone." The protective older brother coming out as he speaks.
"Yeah, I know," I nodded, feeling Sage start to stir, "Gotta go, thank you," I hung up before he could say anything else. "Hey baby," I whispered, smiling down at the beautiful girl.
"Hi," she rasped in a sleepy voice.
"How are you feeling?"
"Same as before, nothing worse, nothing better," she shrugged before moving her entire body on top of mine. I smiled at her as her face was just inches from mine. "What's the first thing you wanna do when we get outta here?" I asked her, moving a piece of her hair behind her ear.
"Hmm, I have some thoughts," she said seductively, ghosting her hands over my collar bones.
"Babygirl, as much as I'd love to see you squirming underneath me, we won't be able to do anything until your stitches completely heal," I watched her as her lips turned from a smirk to a frown.
"Fuck," she groaned, rolling off of me. "Shit," she flinched as her side had brushed up against the bed.
"It's okay. It will be like the best sex because you'll have to wait for it," I winked and she responded by rolling her eyes.
"Fine," she sighed. Her phone began ringing, she held it up and it was an incoming call from Aria. She answered it and Aria didn't look so thrilled.
SAGE POV
"Hey," I smiled, Billie and I could both be seen on the screen.
"Hi, umm. So I kinda have some bad...scary...weird news," she said, attempting to puzzle her words together. My eyebrows furrowed together, 'scary?'
"Okay?" I urged her to go on.
"So, there's this video online....I-it, I'll just send you the link," she said before hanging up.
I looked at Billie with a confused face and she looked back at me with the same expression. Just a second later my phone buzzed. I looked at the link that led to a sketchy-looking website. I looked at Billie and she nodded, silently telling me to click on the link.
It felt like all the blood in my body drained, every limb went numb and froze on spot. "Billie," I whispered with tears streaming down my face. "Turn it off," she practically shouted. My body began to shake as sobs echoed in the room.
"I-I'm so s-sorry," I cried pleadingly.
"No, no it's not your fault," she raked her fingers through her hair, anger evident in the way she spoke. I watched her as she began pacing the hospital room, fear rushed through my head. It felt like all of me was now exposed, as anyone could see me and I was vulnerable to the entire world.
The video was of us, in my apartment, Billies naked body on top of mine, our moans being heard as music was playing in the background. It was clearly us.
My phone buzzed again. I didn't want to look but my hands just did, it was another link from Aria, to a youtube video titled 'Sage and Billie behind closed doors.'
"Stop acting like it's okay, It's not okay," I hear my voice echo through the phone speakers.
"Sage, relax," Billie soothed, walking up to me. I held up my hands and took a few steps back.
"NO, I AM SICK AND TIRED OF SOCIAL ANXIETY RUNNING MY ENTIRE LIFE. IT DECIDES WHAT I DO, WHO I AM, AND-"
Billie snatched my phone and turned off the video as it was only making me cry harder. "Baby, it's gonna be okay," she whispered, sitting next to me and pulling me into her lap.
