"TOMMY!" Newt shouts, running into the other boys bedroom.

"What is it?" Thomas asks, jumping.

"IT'S MY BIRTHDAY IN TWO MONTHS!" He yells.

"I know." Thomas says, smiling.

"I'M HAPPY!" He says, jumping up and down.

Thomas smiles at him. "You really are adorable."

Newt grins. "Tommy."

"Yes?" Thomas says.

"I want one of those ice cone drink things." He says.

"A slushie?" Thomas asks.

Newt nods. "Yeah, that." He says. "I want one."

Thomas bites his lip.

"What?" Newt asks, smirking.

"You're so perfect." He says.

Newt laughs, looking at his feet. "That's not true."

"It is though." He says, walking over him. He puts his hands on his face. "You really are."

Newt looks up and kisses him, making Thomas stumble back. He wraps his arms around him.

"What was that for?" Thomas asks, chuckling.

"You were existing." He says. "You know how hot that is."

Thomas laughs. "Shut up."

He reconnects their lips, leaning back against the wall.

"This is what I love about summer." Thomas says.

"Shut up if you want me to keep kissing you." Newt says.

"Okay." Thomas says and kisses him again.

Newt slides a hand under his shirt. Thomas shivers slightly at his touch. Newt smiles.

"Come on." He says, grinning. "Let's go."

Thomas groans. "Stop doing that!"

"Kissing you?" Newt asks, feigning innocence.

"God, I hate you." He says. He runs a hand through his hair.

"Coming or not?" He asks, holding out his hand.

"Fine." He says, slipping his hand into Newt's.

He drags him downstairs.

"Where are you two going?" Chuck asks.

"Out." Thomas says.

"Real specific." Chuck says. "Why don't I just call "out" and make sure you two don't stay out too late."

"Don't be sarcastic." Thomas scolds.

Newt chuckles. "See ya, Chuck."

Thomas and Newt sit in a random restaurant, drinking slushies.

"I can't believe you actually got this for me." Newt says, playing with the straw.

"Of course." Thomas says.

Newt smiles. "These things are weird." He says. "They're a liquid but also a solid."

Thomas chuckles. "I think they are solids."

"You can't drink solids, Tommy." Newt reasons.

Thomas rolls his eyes. "I am not getting into an argument over the consistency of a slushie."
