"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!?" Newt's mom shouts at him. "WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING THROUGH YOUR MIND!? YOU BROKE THE LAW! YOU DROVE FOR OVER ONE HUNDRED MILES WITHOUT A DRIVER'S LICENCE! WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING, NEWTON!?"

Newt winces. She only uses his full name when she's really mad. "I'm sorry, Mom, I just-"

"I DON'T WANT AN APOLOGY!" She yells. "I WANT A FUCKING EXPLANATION! I WANT TO KNOW WHY THE HELL YOU DECIDED TO SKIP THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL TO GO DRIVE ILLEGALLY!"

Newt hangs his head. "I don't know." He says quietly.

She sighs. "I'm sorry for yelling." She says. "But you should have known better. You're grounded. And that includes Thomas."

"Mom!" Newt protests. "You can't keep me away from a person!"

"No Thomas!" She says, pointing at him. "If I so much as hear you call him, Newt, I swear to god."

"Mom, please!" Newt says, now on the verge of tears. The grounding he can live with, but not without Thomas. "You can't do that!"

"Yes, I can." She says. "Go to your room."

Newt looks at her, not even angry, just upset. Tears fall from his face as he runs up to his room. No Thomas. For who knows how long. He shoves his face in his pillow.

"Newt?"

Newt looks up. It's Lizzy.

"Oh." He says. "Hey, Lizzy." He brushes his tears away. "Sorry, Mom's just..."

"I heard." She says, sitting on the edge of his bed. "Sorry you don't get to fuck him anymore."

"Lizzy, we don't-" Newt sighs. "Nevermind."

"You'll still see him at school." Lizzy says.

"We don't have the same periods." He says. "I'll only get to see him at lunch."

Lizzy sighs. "Well, what about when Mom leaves?"

"She'd kill me, Lizzy." He says. "She already seems like she might."

Lizzy grabs his hand. "I'm sorry."

Newt sighs. "Yeah. Me too."

The next morning, Newt sees Thomas. He runs over to him and throws his arms around him.

"Tommy!" He cries. "I missed you so much."

"It's only been three days." Thomas says, hugging him back.

"Do you have any idea how long that felt?" Newt says.

"Yeah," He says. "Yeah, I do."

"I'm just going to have to kiss you three times as much ast school." He says.

Thomas smiles. "I wouldn't mind that."

The bus pulls up and both boys get on. Thomas sits down and Newt does too. He puts one leg over Thomas. He kisses him.

"We're starting now, then?" Thomas says, smirking.

"It's been three whole days." Newt says. "You think I'm just going to sit here?"

Thomas grins. "I mean, I'd rather you wouldn't."

"Yeah." Newt says. "I know."

He kisses him again, putting his hands in his hair. He moves his lips to his neck. Thomas bites his lip.

"Newt, get off of him."

Newt looks up and sees Minho.

"Hey!" Newt says. He hops up and hugs him.

"What's happening?" Minho says. "What is this?"

"It's called affection." Newt says.

"Gross." Minho says.

Newt laughs, sitting back down and Minho sits next to him.

"You should do that at home." Minho says.

"I wish I could!" Newt says. "My mom said no Thomas!"

"What did you do?" He says.

"Well..." Newt says, putting a hand behind his neck. "We kind of stole my mom's car and drove without a license."

Minho's jaw drops. "You did what?"

"Now you see why I have to kiss him on the bus!" Newt says.

"You didn't have to give him hickeys." Minho says.

"Shut your mouth." Newt says.

Minho shrugs. "I mean, fair enough. I don't see Thomas complaining."

Thomas blushes. "God, Minho!"

Newt laughs. "You're so cute when you're embarrassed."

"I'm always cute." Thomas says.

"Yes." Newt says.

"Okay, shut up. Both of you." Minho says. "And keep your hands off each other for five minutes. Jesus."

Newt pouts but Thomas just looks at the both of them.

"You guys are..." Thomas sighs. "Really weird."

Newt flicks him. "Shut up." But he grabs his hand.

At lunch, Newt immediately runs over to Thomas.

"Tommy!" He shouts. "Tommy!"

He jumps into his arms and kisses him. Thomas stumbles backwards.

"Woah," He says. "Hi."

Newt laughs as they sit down.

"You're right, Minho." Brenda says, waving a chip at them. "They really can't quit it."

Newt rolls his eyes, sitting down. "You two both suck."

"No, we don't." Minho says. "But you do."

Newt looks at him, mouth open. "Did you actually just say that?"

Minho laughs and so does Brenda. Thomas shakes his head.

"You three are immature." He says.

"Tommy," Newt says. "Have you met yourself? And besides, we're teenagers. It's our job to make dirty jokes."

Thomas chuckles. "Fine. Fair enough."

Newt lays on his bed. He really wishes he could see Thomas. Then, his mom walks in.

"Hi, Mom." He says glumly.

"Well, aren't you a bundle of joy this evening?" She says sarcastically.

"You took away Tommy." He says. "I don't have to be happy."

His mom sits on his bed. She messes up his hair. "You can go see him. You're right. That was cruel. But you're still grounded otherwise."

Newt grins. "Really?" He asks, sitting up.

"Really." She says.

Newt grins and gets up, running over to Thomas's house.
