"Hey," Brenda says the next day at school. "Glad you're back."

"I'm not." Newt complains.

"Glad or back?" She asks.

"Shut up." Newt says, groaning.

Thomas puts an arm around him. Newt buries his head in his shoulder.

"Why are you always so tired?" Brenda asks, poking his arm. "Does Thomas keep you up all night?"

Thomas turns red but Newt laughs, lifting his head.

"Shut up, Brenda." Thomas says.

Brenda shrugs, giving Newt a look that he returns, laughing harder.

"Jesus!" Thomas says, putting his face in his hands.

"But in all seriousness," Newt says, wiping at his eyes. "I'm just always tired."

Brenda shrugs. "That doesn't explain why Thomas was so embarrassed."

"He's always like that." Newt says.

Brenda nods. "True. Well, I better go."

"See ya." Newt says.

She walks away.

Newt looks at him. "You are always like that, though."

Thomas nods. "I know. I can't help it. You keep...doing things."

Newt gives him a look. "Okay, Tommy."

Thomas grabs his hand. "Come on. Let's go."

Later, Newt sits in Thomas's spinny chair.

"You really like that chair." Thomas says.

"It's fun." Newt says.

Thomas chuckles. Then, Chuck walks into the room.

"Hey." He says. "Mom says you need to go outside. Newt, you can stay in, but I'm pretty sure you'll follow Thomas."

Newt nods. "True."

All three of them walk out to Thomas's backyard. Newt sits in the middle of the grass.

"What are you doing?" Thomas asks.

"Looking for four leaved clovers." He says. "Come on. Help me."

Thomas chuckles. "You are so adorable." He says, sitting next to him.

"Oh, look!" He says. "I found one with two leaves!"

He picks it and hands it to Thomas.

"Newt, I'm pretty sure one of the leaves just fell off." He says.

"Shhhh." Newt says. "Accept it."

Thomas kisses him. "Okay."

Newt lays down on his stomach, hands resting in the grass.

"What are you doing?" Thomas says. "There's bugs in the grass!"

"I don't care." Newt says.  "I like the grass."

Thomas chuckles. He lays down too, resting his head against Newt.

"Oh, Tommy!" He says. "I found one!" He hands the clover to Thomas.

Thomas pulls off a leaf.

"Hey!" Newt says. "You suck!"

"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" Thomas says.

"You-" Newt says. "Why-shut up!"

Thomas laughs. "I don't regret anything."

Newt punches his shoulder.

"Ow!" Thomas cries. He punches him back.

Newt tackles him, pinning him to the ground. "Hypocrite."

Thomas kisses him and Newt kisses him back.

"Was this your goal?" Newt asks.

"Oh yeah." Thomas says. "I totally thought that far ahead."

Newt laughs. "Whatever." And he kisses him again.

"Stop fucking in the backyard!" They hear Chuck shout.

Newt jumps to his feet. "I wish!" He shouts back.

Thomas stands up too. "Jesus, both of you shut up!"

Newt laughs. "Sorry, Tommy." He says. "But it's payback for my clover."

Thomas chuckles. He puts an arm around the other boys shoulder. Chuck rolls his eyes.

Later, the pair sit on Thomas's bed. Newt's head rests in Thomas's lap. Thomas runs his hands through the other boys hair. Then, Newt sits up.

"Newt, what are you-" But Newt doesn't let him finish, he kisses him.

Thomas kisses him back. Newt wraps his arms around his neck.

"Newt, you can't just do that." He says.

"Why?" Newt asks, tilting his head.

"What if Chuck walks in?" He says.

"He doesn't care." Newt says. "He literally told us to stop fucking in the backyard."

Thomas snorts. "Yeah, that was..."

"He's a twelve year old boy." Newt says. "What do you expect?"

Thomas shrugs. "Fair."

"I remember how you were at twelve." Newt says. "You were far more perverted than he was."

"Well," Thomas says.

"Yeah, that might be a little bit of an exaggeration." Newt says. "But barely."

Thomas laughs. "Well, still. We don't want to give him more material."

"Personally," Newt says. "I'd love to."

"I can't tell how to react to that." Thomas says.

Newt laughs. "Alright. I better go home anyway." He kisses Thomas one last time. "Bye."

"Bye." Thomas says, squeezing his hand.

A/N: Sorry for the short chapter, but I wanted to write one and I'm so tired. And I'm pretty sure K (A5Glader for anyone who doesn't know) is getting to me. Anyway, thanks for reading! <3.
