Forty

"Tommy!" Newt says, running up to him after school. 

Newt hugs him, wrapping his arms around his neck. 

"Whoa, hello." Thomas says, hugging him back. "What's up?"

"I missed you." Newt says, kissing his cheek. 

"It's only been seven hours." Thomas says. 

"I don't care." Newt says. "I still missed you."

Thomas kisses him. "I love you. You're so cute."

Newt smiles and kisses him again. "I love you too." He sighs happily. "You are my favorite human ever."

"You're mine too." Thomas says. 

"I swear to god I just want to kiss you forever." He says.

"I'd like that." Thomas says. 

Newt kisses him again but then Minho walks over.

"Newt, stop fucking him for five seconds." Minho says.

"I wasn't-" Newt starts. "Nevermind."

Newt unwinds his arms from around his neck and takes his hand. 

"Well,"  Minho says. "You two are coming over tonight. I'm inviting some people over and you're coming."

"Do you mean...a party?" Thomas says.

"No." Minho says. "It's only like you two and Brenda and Aris and-"

"Who's Aris?" Newt interrupts. 

"Just some guy from school, that's not the point." Minho says. "Anyway,-"

"Then what is the point?" Newt asks. 

"That you're coming over later." Minho says.

"Okay, just one question," Newt says. "Is Teresa coming? Because if she is, then I'm not."

"She might be, I don't know." Minho says. 

Newt folds his arms. "Then, no."

"Newt, come on." Minho says. "Thomas? Help me?"

"If she does anything, you can punch her." Thomas says.

"Really!?" Newt says, his eyes lighting up. 

"Yeah, sure." Thomas says.

"Yay!" Newt says. "Minho, did you hear!?"

"Yeah," Minho says. "Does this mean you're coming?"

"Yes." Newt says. "Did you mean it, Tommy? Did you really mean it?"

"Yeah." Thomas says. "You can punch her if she tries anything."

Newt does a little dance. "Yay!"

"Holy shit, you're really adorable." Thomas says. 

Newt smiles. "I'm so excited."

"Alright, let's go." Thomas says.

Later, they walk up to Minho's house and he opens the door.

"Hey!" Newt says. 

"Hi." Minho says. 

"Is Teresa coming?" Newt asks. 

Minho shrugs. "I dunno."

"Whatever." Newt says

The three of them walk inside. Newt and Thomas sit on the couch. Newt rests his head in Thomas's lap, legs across the couch. Brenda walks in.

"Newt, move your legs." Brenda says. He doesn't. Brenda shoves him. He just puts his legs over hers. She rolls her eyes. "Newt, you are annoying."

"You came here second." Newt says. Then, a boy walks in. Newt props himself up on his elbows. "Who are you?"

"Aris." The boy says.

"Ooooh." Newt says. "I mean, hi."

Minho walks in. "Okay, this is Thomas, Newt, and Brenda. Guys, this is Aris."

Thomas waves and Brenda smiles. Aris smiles shyly. 

"Right, well," Minho says. "Um..."

Then, Teresa walks in. Newt sits up, looking at her.

"Hi." She says.

Newt narrows his eyes.

"Don't..." Thomas whispers in his ear. "It's okay..."

Newt glares at her. He moves closer to Thomas. Thomas pulls him into his lap and wraps his arms around his waist. Teresa looks at them. Newt wants to laugh at her, but he knows he probably shouldn't. 

Instead, he turns around and kisses him. 

"Okay, that's enough." Minho says. "I know you're jealous but we don't need to see that."

Newt glares at him. Thomas takes his hands, playing with his fingers. 

Later, Thomas and Newt sit on Thomas's bed.

"I wish I could have punched her." Newt says, frowning.

Thomas kisses him. "I know."

"You know, I really don't think she likes me very much." Newt says.

"Mmm." Thomas says. "Maybe we don't have to talk about her right now."

"Hmm?" Newt says, looking at him. "Oh. Yeah, okay." 

And he kisses him.
