Newt and Thomas sit in the park, watching Lizzy and Harriet run around.

Newt lays his head in the other boys lap, looking at the sky.

"Is it wrong to ship twelve year olds?" Thomas asks.

Newt laughs. "Not those two."

"Fair." Thomas says. He plays with Newt's hair. "Why is your hair so soft?"

"It's called shampoo." Newt says.

"Shut up." Thomas says, scoffing and laughing.

Newt sits up and kisses him. "I like it here." He says. "The park's nice."

Newt leans back, putting his head on Thomas's shoulder. Thomas wraps his arms around his waist. He kisses his cheek.

"I like you," Thomas says.

"Duh, Tommy." Newt says. "I think it's pretty obvious at this point."

Thomas laughs. "Fair enough."

Newt turns around and kisses him, sitting in his lap. "I like you too."

Thomas smiles. "When we were younger," He says, "We were dumb."

"What are you talking about?" Newt laughs.

"I should have kissed you way sooner." He says.

"Well, I mean, way sooner we would have been too young." He points out.

"Shut up!" Thomas says. "You know what I mean!"

Newt nods. "I do. I'm just being stubborn."

Thomas smiles. "It's adorable."

Newt kisses him softly then climbs out of his lap. "LIZZY!" He shouts. "HARRIET! TIME TO GO!"

The girls run over, hand in hand. Newt hides a grin.

After Harriet and Thomas leave, Newt and Lizzy sit in the living room.

"So, Liz." He says. "You like this Harriet girl, don't you?"

Lizzy blushes. "I don't know what you mean."

"But you do." Newt says. "You did the exact same thing with me and Thomas." He says, hugging her. "And look how that turned out."

Lizzy looks down, but she's smiling. "Hehe. Yeah."

Newt kisses the top of her head. "I love you, Liz. Now go to sleep."

She nods and runs off to her room.

The next day, Newt sits on the floor of Thomas's bedroom.

"Summer is way overrated." He says. "It's so boring."

Thomas hops off his bed and sits next to him. "I could help with that." He says with a grin.

Newt rolls his eyes. "Shut up."

"I didn't mean it like that." He says.

"Sure you didn't." Newt says sarcastically.

Thomas chuckles. "Yeah, okay, I did, but I was kidding."

Newt sighs, resting his head on Thomas's shoulder. "I'm so tired."

"You always are." Thomas says.

"That's your fault." Newt says.

"Why?" Thomas asks.
