The three Salvatore's stepped up to the Gilbert home, waiting rather impatiently for the Gilbert to open the door. Luna looked down at her boots and the decking on the porch, her mouth opening to speak. But she was quickly cut off by the squeaking of the door hinges and Katherine's carbon copy.

"Hi. Uh, can we talk?" Stefan spoke awkwardly, shoving his hands in his pockets, staring deep into his ex-girlfriend's eyes.

"Why?" Elena quizzed, her brows knitted as overwhelming worry flashed in her eyes. She immediately assumed the worst upon seeing the trio lined up at her front door.

Stefan looked back at Luna and Damon, his expression was nothing less than a plea for one of them to take over.

Damon looked between his siblings for a moment before speaking up, "We went to see Katherine." He answered tentatively.

"Come on in."

An hour ago -ish

"You sure you want to do this?" Stefan stopped in his steps, his question more directed at Damon then Luna; the latter did not hide her excitement to pay Katherine a visit.

"Yeah." Damon scoffed, moving over to the tomb door, waiting for his brother to join him. They placed their hands on the large, jagged stone. Their heads simultaneously turned to face the blonde stood a few feet away.

"After you." Luna gesture with faux-politeness, a smile growing on her face after seeing Damon's eyes roll at her remark. The blonde took a few generous steps to her right, remaining out of Katherine's direct eyeline as she slowly emerged through the darkened, dingy tomb.

"Please come on in, there's plenty of room for all of us." Katherine spoke hoarsely, but despite the lack of blood in her system, she upheld her antagonising nature.

"I'd rather poke my eyes out." Damon skewered his eyes shut, his tone sarcastic but laced with bitterness.

"Mmm, They're such pretty eyes." Katherine flirted, leaning up against the worn-in stone which enclosed her to keep her balance as she bordered on mummification.

"I, personally, think mine are prettier." Luna announced matter-of-factly, stepping between Stefan and Damon and shooting a fake smile in the doppelganger's direction.

"What? No compliment for me?" Luna mocked with a fake pout, holding her hands out on either side of her.

"Luna." Katherine gritted through her teeth, straightening her posture as the colour drained from her face. Her shift in demeanour did not go unnoticed by Luna, her discomfort only accelerating the enjoyment she already felt watching her locked in like an animal.

"We're here for the moonstone." Stefan interjected the intense eye contact between the pair, like unspoken words were shared through the glares they shared.

"Feel like tossing it over?" Damon winked tauntingly, folding his arms over his chest.

"Tell you what, get your little witch to hocus-pocus me out of here, you can have whatever you want," Katherine strained to get out, each word feeling like sandpaper inside her throat, "Or, Luna could do it for us." Katherine suggested, her glare not leaving Luna's face.
