somebody that i used to know- goyte, kimba
"now youre just somebody that i used to know"Flashback - New Orleans, 1898
"Are you sure you don't want me to go with you?" Klaus questioned, wrapping his arms around Luna's waist and pulling her closer towards him.
"How would you help me?" She looked up at him through a grin, placing her gloved hands on his shoulders.
"Maybe, I would just like to be around you?" He suggested playfully.
She titled her head to the side, her expression softening as she leaned into his chest, "This is something I need to do on my own." Luna spoke solemnly, averting her eyes to the floor. She couldn't fight the nerves that took over upon hearing that there were others like her. She had felt isolated in her abilities and was prepared to navigate untapped power alone.
The nerves that radiated off her struck Klaus quickly. Noticing the hesitant expression that had befallen him, she was quick to speak up in an attempt to ease his nerves, "I promise I'll come back to minute I think it'll be dangerous.
"I just don't want you getting hurt." Nik admitted quietly, his eyes melting into hers with mere inches of air separating them.
She smiled slightly, her fingers trailing down to adjust the lapel of his suit, "I'm insulted that you're underestimating my abilities."
"Never once have I doubted you, darling."
"Good." Luna tilted her head upwards and gently pressed her lips against his. Nik relaxed into the kiss and pulled her even closer, closing any space between them. Luna smiled into the kiss when she felt his hands trail up her body from her waist to her cheeks.
And in that moment, as she was kissing him, all she could think about was how she could imagine it being any other way. How she hated even the thought of them being apart. The kiss almost made her want to change her mind and stay with him, but she couldn't.
Slowly, they pulled away from one another, their faces still so close their noses were touching. Luna sucked a breath in before taking a small step back, "I have to go now." She breathed out. She placed a quick kiss on his lips before turning away to leave.
She continued telling herself that she had to leave and find the others to keep herself from turning around and rushing into Nik's arms. Instead of doing that, she continued walking. And she didn't look back
