"Who's this?" A man spoke with a British accent. She turned around quickly, giving the man a once over, emerging from one of  the rooms. She assumed he was in his late-teens and probably related to the man who took her in, due to the subtle resemblance they shared.

"This is Luna, she's going to be staying with us for a short while." Klaus explained, raising his brows at the man as if to silently urge him to behave with a quick gesture.

"Kol." He introduced, dragging his gaze across the young girl and putting his hand out of her to shake. She glanced at his hand and back into his hazel eyes, taking it while maintaining eye contact. A red light began to illuminate from where their hands met and Kol pulled away with a hiss, stumbling backwards slightly.

"Was that you or me?" Luna asked quietly, unconsciously taking a step back in confusion. His reaction had been the complete opposite of the sensation she felt at the tip of her fingers.

"I think it was you, darling." Kol breathed out a laugh, fascinated. Klaus stood over the girls shoulder, observing the interaction between them carefully.

"Do that again." Kol said, holding his hand out once more.

"I don't know if I can do it again, I didn't even mean to do it." Luna rebuked quickly, confusion lacing her voice.

"Try." Kol urged, raising his brows. Klaus narrowed his eyes and his brows furrowed as Luna hesitantly raised her hands from her side and held onto Kol's, a red light appearing around their hands once again. The Original let out a pained sigh, causing the blonde clasp her hands behind her back in fear of hurting him.

"How can you do that?" Klaus asked quietly in awe.

"She's a siphon." Kol answered for the girl.

"What's a siphon?" Luna questioned.

"I think you ought to tell us something about yourself  before I answer your question, darling." Kol said, with an amused smirk.

Luna scoffed. It would be very easy for her to refuse answering any questions, but they had just revealed a part of herself that she never knew existed, and she was dying to know what it was. She hesitated before saying, "What would you like to know?"

"Why were you out in the woods?"  Klaus asked quickly, a small smile appeared across her cheeks, the two brother's standing before her expectantly.

"I ran away from home." Luna answered simply with a sigh.

"A young girl running away from home? Must've been quite the predicament."  Klaus teased, eliciting a quiet chuckle from Kol.

"The only predicament I'm in is that you won't answer my question." Luna raised her brows at Niklaus, maintaining eye contact with him as she uttered each word, before turning to Kol with the same teasing smirk he wore moments ago.
