what do they know?- mindless self indulgence
"mess me up beyond all recognition"The only emotion Klaus could feel was betrayal. After Luna confessed to everything and admitted to the secrets and lies, Klaus was blinded by rage, and his temper tantrum did in fact leave Luna with a snapped neck. She was in and out of consciousness. Every time she could feel life pouring back into her, it was immediately ripped away as punishment. Every time she could feel her body begin to gain power, she was pulled back in the cold void. No matter how many times Luna would die - temporarily or not - she would never get used to the feeling.
Once her eyes slowly began to open, taking in her blurred surroundings and waiting to be condemned to darkness again -- but she wasn't. She groaned quietly and her eyes scanned her surroundings. Rebekah loomed over her, unable to ignore her frame amidst the empty space. She grew nervous, not seeing Stefan or Klaus in the vicinity, and knowing the unpredictability of the Original, "Where are we?" Luna asked as she sat up slightly.
"Don't ask questions you already know the answers to." Rebekah said, taking a step towards her. For the first time in their friendship, Luna was fearful that she would be on the receiving end of her best friends anger. But instead Rebekah extended her hand for the Salvatore to take.
"I understand why you kept it a secret, but you have to understand that Nik will not. He expected you and your brother to be loyal and you ended up betraying him," Rebekah spoke as she pulled the girl to her feet, "You know how he is."
"Yeah. Whatever."
"You're going to get over it someday," Rebekah spoke bluntly. Luna glanced over at her, her jaw clenched to keep words from spilling it, "You spent ninety years running from your feelings, not him. You're delaying the inevitable."
"You were there that night," Luna spoke, her tone disconcertingly calm. Rebekah shoulders straightened at the statement, her blue eyes narrowing into daggers, "How can you tell me to just get over it?"
Rebekah sighed and an awkward silence had befallen them, the floor seemingly more interesting to Luna then facing the girl in front of her, "I need you to do something-"
"You mean he needs me to do something?" Rebekah curled her lips inwards guiltily, a scoff escaping Luna at the transparency of her words, "Let me guess, he wants me to figure out how he can make his hybrid race, right?"
"Well, for one, you're a witch. You should be able to figure something out. And, we may or may not have to threaten a few people," Rebekah added, trailing off towards the end of the sentence. The trepidation on Luna's face forced her to continue, "Isn't that your favourite activity?"
"Perfect," Luna muttered before furrowing her brows, "Who exactly do we have the threaten?"
