After 90 years of running, it had to come to an end. She found herself in Mystic Falls, a place she'd be dreading to go to but it was bound to happen. Luna Salvatore, the youngest Salvatore, arrived in Mystic Falls. Little did she know, her coming t...

The streets surrounding the outskirts of New Orleans quietened as the moon rose in the sky and Luna's fangs retracted from her gums after months of being dormant. They dug into a passer-by's neck and she relished in the sensations she had taken for granted for so many years.
Her phone buzzed in her pocket and she slowly pulled her fangs out of the man's neck, the only thing holding his body up was Luna's hand gripping the back of his neck and she used her free hand to answer the phone. Stefan had been calling her on repeat for the last three days and she had been dodging the conversation like the plague, 'Yes?' She spoke breathlessly as a bead of blood trickled down her chin.
'Nice of you to finally answer,' He quipped, 'Are you busy?'
'Yes, actually. I'm getting a late-night snack,' She replied pausing momentarily upon noticing the trepidation dancing in his voice, 'Why? What's wrong?'
He didn't speak as he tried to organise this thoughts, 'I need to see you. I'll send you an address.' He finally answered vaguely, causing Luna's brows to tug downwards. She pushed the man's unconscious body away from her, his corpse falling on the ground.
'What mess have you got yourself into now?' Luna reprimanded quickly, only to receive a sigh in response.
'I'll explain when you get here,' He reasoned, 'Just come quickly.'
She knew something had gone wrong, and her brother's voice was nothing more than a plea, 'Fine. Send me the address. I'll be there by morning.'
After a long journey, the heretic arrived at a small home a few hours away from Mystic Falls. She knocked on the door loudly, awaiting her brother. The door swung open, revealing Stefan sporting his usual brooding expression, 'Hello, brother. So, why have you summoned me?'
'You're a vampire,' Were the first words he said, his brows knitting into a frown, 'What the hell happened?'
She sighed overdramatically, 'There's a lot we have to catch up on.' The moment she stepped through the threshold, Stefan pulled her into a tight hug which she returned. She didn't even realise how tense she was until his arms wrapped around her and her muscles relaxed. She needed it -- so did he.
'Yeah, we do.'

Luna buried her head in her hands as she sat on the couch beside her brother. Stefan didn't move or speak as he watched his sister digest the information he had thrown at her. He listened to her heart thump rapidly in her chest. She sucked in a deep breath and straightened out, 'So, in the time I've been gone,' She began, her voice barely above a whisper. She raked her hands through her locks and cleared her throat, 'In the time I've been gone, the other side fell apart, Bonnie became the anchor, you blew up a bunch of Travellers and Damon and Bonnie died?'
'Pretty much.' Stefan said numbly, leaning back. Luna looked back at her brother and saw that despite he was pretending it didn't effect him so deeply, he couldn't fool her. She saw the grimace on his face upon hearing the words 'Damon' and 'dead' together and how his fingers tapped against his thigh rhythmically, trying to ground himself.
