After 90 years of running, it had to come to an end. She found herself in Mystic Falls, a place she'd be dreading to go to but it was bound to happen. Luna Salvatore, the youngest Salvatore, arrived in Mystic Falls. Little did she know, her coming t...

'You know,' Davina began, her voice echoing through the empty church and reverberating off the walls. Luna cast a look in the girl's direction, 'The things I've heard about you don't entirely line up with what I'm seeing.'
'That depends on what you've heard,' Luna's eyebrow tugged up playfully as she continued arranging candles evenly around the church, 'You'd be surprised how little people know about me.'
Davina's boots clicked softly against the tiled floor as she walked over to her bag filled with supplies for the spell, 'From what I've heard, you're just as ruthless as him. A perfect match, right?'
'Huh,' Luna breathed quietly, striking a match and watching the candle's flame flicker to life, 'Is that what they say?' A smile picked up on her lips through her pointed tone, curiosity seeping through the bravado she used as a shield.
Davina's confidence grew, her frame straightening as her arms folded over her chest, 'I don't get it,' She spoke, 'I mean, he's screwed over almost everyone you care about, and yet you're still helping him?'
'If you're worried about Kol, you shouldn't be,' Luna looked over at Davina, her eyebrows raised suggestively, 'He's found himself in situations a lot worse. One of them being literally dead.'
'That's not an answer,' Davina shook her head, her eyes narrowed as if she was trying to solve the mystery beneath Luna's surface, 'You don't even seem happy.'
Luna paused momentarily, her hand frozen mid-air as she reached for another candle, Davina's confidence and bluntness taking her aback. The brief silence that overtook them was deafening. Luna turned to face Davina, her expression unreadable, 'You're young, Davina. Loyalty isn't black and white. Especially in this family, and especially with Klaus.'
'How so?'
Luna's eyes drifted over to the stained glass, filtering sunlight in with different hues of red and gold as she took a deep breath. 'He's seen the worst and best of me. The kind of relationship he and I have isn't one that just goes away. Even when he does things that... test it.'
'So, you just forgive him? No matter what?' Davina questioned, her frown forcing a smile to pick up on Luna's lips.
'Why? Worried about your future with Kol?' Luna asked and the teen's face flushed quickly, her eyes rolling heavenward as she bit back a grin. She plastered on a stoic expression and turned back to the heretic expectantly. Luna sighed, 'Forgiveness isn't the right word. It's more... understanding. I understand the person he is the same way he understands who I am. Perfect match, right?'
'Haven't you found Finn yet?' Klaus' voice boomed through the church as he stalked down the aisle, bringing their conversation to a halt and forcing them to turn away from each other as if the words had never been exchanged, 'I must say, for witches of your calibre, I was expecting a level of efficiency.'
Davina glanced at Luna briefly, as if Klaus' opening words had proved her point. Davina sighed in frustration, continuing to set up a circle of runes as Luna lit the candles dotted around the church, 'Finn is blocking the spell. But, we need to concentrate. And I can't speak for Luna, but I know it would help me if you weren't hovering like a stalker.'
