It was a quiet morning

It was a quiet morning. Which in some ways was unexpected. Probably because of the constant chaos which ensues. Luna soaked it in, as much as she could, at least until something ruined the perfect peace. An unavoidable issue, or a plaguing thought, anything that may taint what little she's experienced of a perfect day. She looked over to her left side, to see Nik peacefully asleep.

To no avail, she tried to quietly sneak out of bed and head to the bathroom, 'What are you doing?' Klaus questioned, suspicion rising in his voice. Luna looked over her shoulder to see his eyes still closed, she huffed.

'Relax, I'm not sneaking out, I need to pee.' She retorted, making Nik snort quietly as she sat up on the edge of the bed on her side.

'Excuse me for asking, but because of your latest shenanigans I need to stay alert.' He announced matter-of-factly as he sat up, interlocking his hands behind his head.

She cleared her throat, 'Well...I won't be sneaking out any time soon so you can cool your jets.' Before she could stand, she was enveloped by his arms and pulled back into bed, eliciting a laugh from her.

'I'd rather keep you where I can see you.' He whispered into her ear as she rested against his chest, his arms still around her. Luna turned herself over so she was on top, straddling him.

'That would work better if you weren't leaving every 20 minutes,' She raised her brows. Nik's hand reached up to push her hair out of her face, gently tucking it behind her ear. She was infuriated that she couldn't spend more time with him, and she was stuck by herself staring at the same 4 walls, 'I'm serious, in a few months time you're gonna have to have me committed.'

'Don't be dramatic.'

'Easy for you to say.' Luna shot back, finally climbing off Klaus, his hands lingering on her waist as long as possible.

He fell back on the bed as she walked away towards the bathroom and sighed, 'You know I have a lot of things to do, people to see — and kill.'

'Are one of those people Marcel?' She replied from the bathroom.

'You mean to kill or see?'

She sighed, 'If you're planning on killing him I'd rather you not tell me.' Despite loving Klaus deeply, she still cared for Marcel deeply and she thought of him as a brother. The pair had been through so much together and she couldn't betray him — or Klaus. So she chose to stay neutral and uninvolved, desperately trying to forget what she knew of the witches plans.

Nik walked towards the bathroom, leaning against the doorframe as Luna washed her hands, 'I'm not planning on killing him,' He started, but Luna knew there was more, especially with the look on his face. Her eyes looked deep into his, awaiting a response, 'Yet.'

'There we go,' Luna sighed out, 'Can you please just...not? For me?'

He groaned and threw his head back, only making Luna smile triumphantly knowing that those two words could win him over instantly, 'I don't see why it bothers you so much,' Klaus offered, inching closer towards her, 'This was our empire, he took it.' He placed his hands on her hips and watched her face carefully.
