"AND now let us all welcome, the cotillion court, our debutant Miss Olivia Muñoz, and her escort, Mr. Clarence Vergara!"

Isang masigabong palakpakan ang narinig sa buong lugar. Pagkatapos ay ibinigay ko na kay ate na co-emcee ko ang microphone saka ako pumunta sa kung nasaan ang buong cotillion court.

"That went well, Avia," mahinang bulong ni Nyx noong makarating na ako sa tabi niya.

"Alin?" I asked him, confused to what he was referring to.

"You welcomed the cotillion court. It was full of energy. Ang galing mo ro'n."

"Sus, pinagtitripan mo na naman akong bolero ka," turan ko na lang saka pabiro siyang inirapan.

"It was not a lie though. You really did well back there. I'm proud of you." Tinapik nito nang marahan ang ulo ko kaya sumimangot naman ako.

"Bakit gano'n? Mukha ba akong aso sa paningin mo, ha?" Iritable kong tanong sa kaniya.

"No. But you're cute." Kinindatan ako nito kaya natawa na lang ako. Tss. Ibang klase ka talaga, Nyx Ruiz. You always surprise me in every little thing you do and say. Kapag ako mas lalong nagkagusto sa'yo, panagutan mo talaga ako. You are responsible for all the kilig and happiness I am feeling right now.

Chz. Kidding, haha.

"Let us welcome our first pair for the cotillion court, Mr. Nyx Ruiz and Miss Avianna Muñoz."

Upon hearing that, Nyx and I immediately smiled at each other. He offered his arm to me and I held on to it as we walk down the aisle to the area where we will be dancing the cotillion dance. Hindi naman na kailangan pero talagang ihinatid pa ako nito sa pwesto ko bago siya tuluyang pumunta sa pwesto niya.

"You got this!" he mouthed and winked at me while I just laugh at him again.

Well I guess, mas kaya ko kasi andito ka. Thank you, Nyx.

"ALARIC ngumiti ka naman!" I said while everyone was on their respective places already. I know that we aren't that close yet to give him orders or any requests but then this is for Olivia. Nothing should mess up. He should smile. The cameras might capture him frowning in his place.

He looked at me still frowning so I smiled at him and did a signal sign telling him to do the same.

"Smile!" I mouthed.

He heaved a deep sigh and afterwards gave off a smile. I wasn't satisfied with that one though. It seemed unreal.

What's happening with this guy? Is he okay? Ang sabi pa naman nina Olivia at Aisha ay moody ito. Susko sana naman hindi ngayon umatake ang gano'n niya. He can't just ruin anything.

"Smile please? Iyong totoo?" I whispered rather to myself already than to him.

Then I don't know what happened but he again heaved a deep breathe and this time, he gave off a much genuine smile than what he did earlier.

So, I also smiled and saw Nyx nodding at me like telling me that I did a good job. Well I guess comforting and uplifting people works for me too? I hope so. Or if not, baka nakakahawa lang talaga siya. Haha.

Hay, Nyx. You are really something else.
