The soft sound of his book closing had you peeking an eye open. You had been relaxing against him as he read the same lines he's read so many times before. Your hand resting against his chest as you sat between his legs, the warmth from the air surround him and along with him brought enough comfort to have to dozing off against his chest.
His arms moved around you, his cheek nuzzling against your head once the book was put away. You let out a small hum, shifting so you could actually see him.
"Got tired of reading already?"
"No," he chuckled, "I just rather spend my free time with you. I barely get to see you nowadays and when I do, my nose is in a book. Figured I could read about romance or I could be all romantic with you."
You couldn't help the laugh that escaped you as he nuzzled his nose against your cheek. He smiled, leaning against you before letting out a soft sigh.
"Master Jiraiya is a great writer and all, but even he can't describe the way I feel when I'm with you."

You tried to do all that you could to distract yourself. Naruto had been sent on a longer mission, one that was a higher rank. While you knew Naruto could handle himself, there was that part of you that worried for his safety.
You knew what you were getting into when you started dating him, he was on team with Kakashi after all. And the stories he told of his missions made you scared he'd end up getting seriously injured or worse.
With a sigh, you stopped your pacing and figured cleaning would be the best way to keep your mind occupied. It worked for a little while, before your thoughts drifted back to the blonde ninja.
You didn't realize how late it was getting until you saw the sun starting to set. Naruto was due home at some point during the day and that didn't ease your nerves at all.
Just as your thoughts drifted, thinking the worst, the door clicked open and in walks a very exhausted Naruto. Despite his tired state, he still gives you the widest smile, gorgeous blue eyes setting on your figure.
Your feet carried you faster than you could process and found yourself leaping into his arms. Naruto let out a small grunt from the force, causing you to pull away and check him over for any injuries.
"I'm sorry. Are you hurt?"
"Just a little bruised up, nothing I can't handle. Now come here, I missed you."
He pulled you back in for a hug, arms tightening around you as he felt your body tremble.
"Are you okay, [Y/N]?"
You nodded, pulling away just enough to kiss him.
"Yeah, I'm just so happy you're home."

Gaara spent most of his time in his office, doing paperwork and having meetings. Doing the job for so long, he didn't mind it as much as he used too. The only thing that really bothered him was that he didn't get to spend much of his time with you.
He didn't expect to fall in love with someone, or having someone fall in love with him so deeply. But you? You were his personal ray of sunshine. He'd much rather be with you then slaving over paperwork.
Hearing a knock on the door to his office, he looked up as he called for the person to open the door. His mood instantly changed once he saw you standing there. A smile made its way to his lips as you walked over to him.
"Hey, what are you doing here? Not that I'm not happy to see you or anything, didn't expect you to come back."
"I was meeting with a friend and decided to come see my favorite person in the village."
A light blush made itself known, causing Gaara to look away in embarrassment. When he recovered, he lifted his arm, silently telling you to sit down. You easily slid on his lap, thankful no one else was in the office to witness this moment between you.
It was always a surprise whenever Gaara made the first move, as he wasn't one to initiate affection. You pulled him in for a kiss, fingers lightly threading through strands of his hair. Gaara smiled into the kiss, taking your free hand in his as he pulled away.
