You loved whenever Kakashi was allowed a bit of free time. No worries over missions and training his kids - just time spent between the two of you. It gave you the chance to see him relaxed for once, a loose shirt and pants adoring his muscular form instead of his usual Jonin uniform. And of course, he was much more open with affection in the privacy of his own home - something you admittedly liked a little too much.
Not that he'd say it out loud, but Kakashi enjoyed these moments too. He loved having you close. Whether you were cuddling on his bed or couch, or sitting on his lap reading his book, he'd never get tired of you being with him.
"It's amazing how you look so attractive from every angle."
Kakashi pulled the book away from his face, eyeing you from your position where your head was resting on his lap. He let out a low chuckle, placing the book down before caressing your cheek.
"Is that so? Better come here and get a better look then. You'll see I'm not as handsome as you think."
You rolled your eyes, moving from your position to sit on his lap. His arms easily slid around you as he held you close. You played with a strand of his hair, brushing it out of his eyes before giving him a soft smile.
"See? I was right, most handsome man in the village. Hell, most attractive person I know."
Kakashi laughed, eyes crinkling as he smiled, "Shit, you're so cute. I love you."
Both you and Kakashi paused, staring at each other in silence. Kakashi was sure you'd get up, leave him alone. To his surprise - which he wasn't exactly sure why he was surprised - you broke out into the sweetest smile before kissing him through his mask.
"You're cute when you're all embarrassed, you know."
Kakashi rubbed the back of his neck, "Not so embarrassed, just wasn't planning on telling you that way."
"It didn't have to be said during a grand gesture, just hearing you say it is enough for me. 'Cause I love you, too, Kakashi."
Kakashi just smiled, pulling you in for another kiss.
