Kylo Ren's P.O.V.

Entering my room, I find Anakia passed out in our bed with a nightgown on. She's under the covers on her unspoken side of the bed. I had found Snips sleeping on her bed in the den, the one Anakia bought her the day before.

She must have put it there earlier today. I'm back rather later than I expected because of the meeting with Snoke and setting up the First Order's next attack on the resistance. I wasn't expecting to do so much in one day, but I should have assumed I would after being away for days.

I had informed Snoke that Anakia submitted to training, but as my apprentice, not his. He didn't seem too please to know she still refused to see him or join him but settled with the notation she wanted to be trained by me. He gave me a rebuilt double sided light saber for her to use, suggesting it will serve her better than its last Master.

I found he was all to please to give me this token of weapon for her, but I assumed he's just happy she's not refusing me any longer. After our conversation about her, we discussed plans for our next steps to finding the map leading to Luke. Which led me to explain and instruct our eventual plans to the First Order.

After everything said and done, I eventually arrived back at my room just a quarter before midnight. I watch Anakia sleeping with her hair sprawled on her pillow as I change into something casual. My mind wonders if she had waited for me with nothing on until she decided over time it wasn't worth waiting any longer.

The sense of regret of not coming back sooner swarms my mind, and it only reminds me of what Snoke had told me in the meeting. Anakia is not to tempt you with the light, but to remind you to finish what your grandfather started and to do what he could not. I feel so much responsibility on my shoulders to live up to my grandfather, but I find the biggest one laying on my bed at the moment.

Pulling the covers down, I slide into my side of the bed and turn out the lights. I shuffle until I lay right behind her and wrap an arm around her waist to pull her closer to me. Her warmth comforts me, along with her soft, relaxed breaths.

She seems to be in a deep sleep and for a moment; I wish I had never left her this afternoon. If I never left, I wouldn't feel my mind spinning with resentment and detest that Snoke brought out of me tonight.

My emotions aren't allowing me to just drift into slumber because of it. So instead of trying to fall asleep, I search into Anakia's mind to see what has her in this heavy sleep.

"I wish we did this every day, Ben... I'd come to this spot with you every day if we could." Anakia blurts out with her eyes closed, her head is facing up toward the sun. She's smiling as the light soaks into her skin, speaking up again to me; she sighs."This has to be my favorite spot. This spot by the lake... Only we know of... It's gorgeous, don't you think?"

"It is, Ani."

I smile genuinely at her and play with the ribbon on her dress laying on my back. We're on top of a blanket with a basket of food by our feet. Her shoes are tossed to the side and her hair is in wild curls with a small bun in the center of the back of her head.

She's wearing a light pink dress, it comes to her feet. It's thin material and has dark glimmering ribbon in many places. I'm in a white shirt, brown pants and a black vest that matches my shoes. Our light sabers lean on the basket as we admire the view.

Anakia's staring at the lake, and I watch her. I have an arm behind my head and she leans back with her arms propped up behind her. Turning her head, she looks down at me, grinning.

"I want to live by a lake after we're knighted as a Jedi Master... This lake, if I could."

"I could do that." I suggest and shine a small smirk up at her. Sensing her mind grow puzzle for a second, I interpret my words just above a whisper. "I could build you a house beside this lake."
