Kylo Ren's P.O.V.

For the first time in a long time, I'm doing something I know is right. Watching Anakia putting her dress over her head and down her body, my hands pause from putting my on shoe as I admire her. Her expression appears glum in the mirror she's standing in front of because of where I'm about to take her.

Her movements are slow, as if this is about to be the end of her. Though, I know the truth. This will be the day everything I planned comes true. It is not in the way I wanted, but it's in the way it matters.

She doesn't know it yet, but soon she'll understand why I've been different since we parted from Yavin 4 months ago. I'm sitting on the bed putting on the last of my attire, my shoes. She's in front of the mirror fixing her dress.

Her dress is grey with faded purple. The straps are silver pearls. There's no back to it and it covers just above her butt and goes down to the floor. The front of the dress is a straight line across her breasts and the dress is loose just after her waist.

Her hair is straight and goes down her bare back nicely. It's parted in the middle of her head. I suggested Carmon to fix her hair up for her, but she insisted not to. I sense it's her way of defiance toward Snoke even when she knows it doesn't matter how she looks for him.

"Are we ready?" She speaks up while slipping on her shoes. "Let's get this over with."

"You're going to be okay, Anakia."

I assure when seeing her nerves unsettled. Standing up and stepping toward her, I rub my hands down her arms. Glancing away from me, she lets out a breath to calm herself.

"Trust me, I have everything under control."

"Do you?" Peering up into my eyes, she whispers with such fear in her tone. "I don't want to go out like this, Ben."

"You're not going to die, Ani." I murmur and kiss her forehead while pulling her into a hug. "If such a thing were ever to happen to you... I sense it would be... In a blaze of glory." Lifting her head, I smile at her with utter love. "You're not someone who will die because someone simply commands it."

I watch her nod her head before glancing down at our feet. Wrapping my arms around, I sense all the pain I've put her through these past years.

Hopefully after today, all the pain in her mind will be gone and we can live the life I always intended for us. First, though, I have to pick up the other piece to Snoke's request.

~ The Elevator ~

Standing behind Anakia and Rey, I glance between them suspiciously. They eye one another as if they're having a silent conversation. Anakia seems more irritated with Rey, but Rey stares at Anakia with hope.

It makes me wonder how they spent their time together without my presence. Rey has her hands bound but Anakia doesn't, though I have both of their light sabers which tells them both the same thing. They're both not here by choice.

Frowning, I sense their force lining together with the same state of mind. Both Rey and Anakia's surrounding forces feel balanced, raw, even dynamic.

Something is connecting them together with the same energy and for the first time in a long time, I see a bond between Anakia and someone else other than me. I find myself struck in place watching the scavenger and Duchess form a connection between one another without speaking a single word.

"You don't have to do this." Rey speaks up in the silence between the three of us. Glancing behind her, Rey glances into my eyes and whispers with no doubt. "I feel the conflict in you... It's tearing you apart."
