Where'd All the Time Go?

Anakia's P.O.V.

"You have been lost, Ani... I'm so sorry."

Luke sighs while closing the door to his hut, leaving Rey and Finn outside alone in the stone village. I glance around his room as he lights a few candles to brighten up the room. He has a few things on shelves I remember him having on Yavin 4. 

I see clothes on a shelf that I can recall him wearing years ago. Inspecting his room, I find him shuffling around, cleaning up a few things. 

Watching him at this moment, I can't help but pity him for what he's become. As he carries a few trinkets to a shelf, Luke states assuringly.

"You can find yourself again, though. Here. This place is sacred ground. You'll be safe here with me."

"Luke..." I murmur while turning around to face him. "I'm not staying."

"W-What?" Luke frowns and stops what he's doing to look at me completely. "Why? The First Order will find you if you leave. There's nowhere else to hide from them. I came here to keep us safe and alive."

"Us?" I snort while clenching my fists. "You came here without me."

"I always planned for you and me to come here, but... when I came for you, it was too late." Luke confesses in shame while sitting down on his cott."Kylo had already destroyed everything."

"... So you sat here and expected for me to come for seven years?" I whisper in disbelief as I stiffen in the place I stand."Kylo could've killed me... I could've been dead this whole time-"

"I knew he didn't kill you, Anakia." Luke answers in a low, knowing tone. "Ben wouldn't..."

"You... You didn't know that." I mumble in anger at his logic before dramatically blurting out. "He could have done terrible things to me and god knows what... You left me to save your own skin!"

"I did know! I did, Anakia!" 

Luke raises his voice, and I can sense him thinking about the night everything happened. Pain and suffering fills his surrounding force of what Ben has become. Standing up, Luke paces while revealing in full confidence. 

"I knew nothing bad could ever happen to you if you were with Ben. Even when he became Kylo Ren, I knew. That boy... Has loved you since the day he saw you and I just knew Ani." Turning to face me, he exclaims with a pained laugh. "... But I also know you wouldn't stay with him forever. You'd escape him and would come find me."

"You think that is an excuse for leaving me?" I yell, striding to stand in front of him. "I was rotting in a cage, controlled by the very man I loved while you sat here fiddling your thumbs!" Shouting, I shove him, feeling my anger rush through me. "I was a child, and you left me in the destruction you started! You were my Master, you're supposed to be there for me!"

"My destruction?" Luke yells right back at me with as much passion. "Ben turned on everyone! Ben betrayed us-"

"You betrayed him!" 

I scream, replaying the words Ben once spoke to me. Using the force, my light saber comes to my hand and I activate it. Pointing the tip of one end toward his neck, I shout in fury. 

"I told you his conflict in confidence! I told you he needs balance, and you prepared to strike him down before he even turned! We lost Ben because of you and he took me with him because, like you said..." I tilt my head then, and smile with no humor in my voice. "He'd always keep me safe. Even from you."

"I failed him, I can admit that, but Anakia, his mind was already made and..." Luke shakes his head, not taking one glance at the saber I have aimed at his throat. "I did not want to fail you too, so I gave you a map. I never gave up on you."
