"So we're supposed to... Trust you to bring Luke back?"

"No." I answer simply while carrying bags to my shuttle. "Put your trust in them. I have no obligation to do what the Resistance wishes."

"What..."

Poe, Rey and Finn say together while standing alongside one another. I set my bags beside the ramp of my ship and let out an annoyed sigh. Snip is pouncing on the bags filled with food like its jello while watching the three stare at me dumbstruck.

An hour ago, Leia announced I was leaving to meet Luke and the Resistance will supply me with equipment. However, she didn't mention I'd bring him back because she knows I'm not here for that reason, but I guess the rest of the Resistance didn't put two and two together. Well, besides Chewie, who is supplying the Falcon right now too.

Leia informed everyone that Finn and Rey will go to be trained by him and to return him to the Resistance. However, Poe, Rey and Fin must have thought that's what I'd be doing, too. Leia doesn't have to ask me for details about why I want to see and speak to him.

She's sensed my reasonings in the force the moment I got here. Which is why she gave me no requests for the Resistance's benefit. She understands I'm not here for their cause.

Han was once like that and this is no different, and Leia knows. Seeing all their stunned expressions still on their faces, I set my hands on my hips, announcing.

"Now listen hard and good. I'm only going for one reason only." I claim to the three doe eye resistance believers. "To speak with Luke. I'm not responsible for anything else. Leia knows this." Pointing at Rey and Finn, I declare. "That's your responsibility, to be trained by him and bring him back."

"I must have heard you wrong, Ani." Finn laughs while glancing at Poe and Rey. "Did you just say we're going to train-"

"By Luke, yes. There's nothing more he can teach me, but you two..." I state while waving a hand in a circle in their direction. "Need guidance and since you're with the Resistance, it's also your job to bring him back."

"You're not with the Resistance?"

Poe questions with a serious frown, as if it never accrued to him Leia would know someone not with the Resistance. Making an exhausted, dramatic face at him, I nod. Walking away from the three, I head to grab one more bag for the road.

Sensing them all thinking hard about what I said, I wait for the dam of questions to break. Not a second later, I hear the three of them following closely behind me, asking.

"How are you not for the Resistance?" Poe spits out in utter loathing. "Luke Skywalker trained you! A man who fought for the Rebellion against the Empire!

"You're going to go all that way just to chat with him and nothing more?" Rey voices more than asking me. "Don't you care that he's our last chance of stopping the First Order?"

"If you're a Jedi, why can't you just teach us?" Finn argues like a child not getting his way. "I've seen you in battle. I have no doubt you can train us."

Spinning around instantly, I lift my hand and use the force to keep them in place. They all stare at me with wide panic eyes. Tilting my head, I close my eyes and groan, wishing R2 had been at Yavin 4 instead of here, so I wouldn't have to deal with this. Strolling towards them with my hand in the air, I answer their questions with as must patience as I can muster up.

"I've been asked to join by both sides of this war and I've fought for both sides." Staring at Poe with an expression that says don't ask, I state. "I'm over it. I've done my time. So don't ask me to join and yes... I'm going just to chitchat with my old Master." I answer Rey's question while turning to face her. "If you endured what I had to, you too would go see him just to get closure."
