Finish What I Started

Anakia's P.O.V.

"Ani, help me! Ani!"

"I can help him, Anakia. Just become what you're destined to become."

Sidious croaks out while hovering over me and Ben. I'm kneeling beside Ben, holding his head to my chest. His life is fading from him as I try to protect him. 

The three of us are in a dark room with nothing but us and shadows. Glancing up at Sidious, I find him smiling while stretching out his hand to me. Turning to face back down at Ben, he's coughing on the last air in his lungs. 

Pushing his hair back, I watch his eyes slowly close. Facing back up at Sidious, I see two figures coming on either side of him. When they're hovering over us with him, I realize one is Rey. 

She's in a black cloak and bloodshot eyes. The other is me with the same blood-shot eyes and black cloak. Shaking my head, I turn away from them and see other bodies around me and Ben. 

Dark red light shines on them, letting me see Finn and Grogu in the same state as Ben. My tears fall onto Ben's cheeks as I hear from Sidious.

"Only I can help you save them. Join me-"

"No! No!"

I shout as spring up in my bed. Scanning around, I find myself back in my room in Ahsoka and Grogu's hut. Glancing down, I see Poe sleeping beside me on his side of the bed. 

Seeing him makes my heart calm down at a steady pace again. He has an arm draped over my waist and I can feel his toes against mine. The past week Poe's been staying in my room when we sleep. 

I've asked him a few times to stay, but lately he has come without me asking him to. It's the only way I'm able to get a few hours of sleep. Without him, I keep myself up at night with my dreams. 

Searching around the room one more time to make sure we're alone, I quietly get off the bed. Snips is on the corner of the bed, staring at me with her head tilted. Patting the back of her head, I turn to grab my shoes and put them on to leave. 

She quietly follows me out of my bedroom, leaving Poe sound asleep. Walking down the hall, I glance around to see if anyone else is awake. When I'm sure no one in the hut is awake, I walk out with Snips right behind me.

Once I'm outside, I walk down the path to the lake. Snips comes to walk beside me and I can tell she's tense from my aura. She spends most of her days with Grogu since his aura is more balance than mine. 

Plus, he gives her treats and belly rubs more than me. I'm about to reach the lake when Snips sprints past me to the sand. When I reach the outskirts of the forest, I see what Snips is running to. 

She stands beside Ahsoka, kneeling in front of the lake. Her staff and dark saber are beside her on the sand. 

Ahsoka's back is to me as I step onto the sand and Snip is poking her saber. As I walk closer to them, I hear Ahsoka announce in the night air.

"I understand why you come here most days."

"You do?"

I mumble while coming to sit down beside her with Snip between us. Glancing around us, I see the reflection of the two moons on the calm water. Peeking at Ahsoka, I find her eyes close as if she's meditating.

"It feels like time stops here." Ahsoka speaks up while opening her eyes and petting Snips. "It doesn't though, Anakia."

"I know." I whisper while peering up at the night stars. "It calms me, though."
