"I'm back!" Hoseok announced cheerfully, coming back in the room after throwing his phone into his pocket. "Did I make you wait? I hope not."

"No hyung... you didn't." This time, Seokjin's smile looked faint and weak, his eyes fixated his pale hands on the bed with moving a millimetre. From his obvious attitude Hoseok was able to detect something wrong in the patient, but he didn't know what.

"Seokjin?" He softly tried, looking at him with a reassuring smile. "Is there something you wanna tell me?"

"I'm okay..." He didn't expect more from him, Seokjin wasn't the kind to easily open up about his feelings.

"You... saw that dream again... Am I right?" Hoseok tried again after a short silence, sitting next to him by now. Seokjin slowly lifted his head to him, mute, and gave him a small nod. "It must be scary..."

"It indeed is."

Another silence occurred, and Hoseok found nothing to say to comfort him. Minutes there was before he decided to take action, and slowly pulled his patient to his chest for a comforting hug.

"I know I can't do much for your dreams..." He whispered. "So I hope this will make you feel a little better."

Seokjin couldn't help but smile, wrapping his arms around his caring doctor.

"Thank you hyung." He whispered back. "Your hug means a lot to me already... I'm feeling better."

"I'm so glad I was able to help." Hoseok took a while let go of the boy, rose his hand to his patient's head with a smile. "You're strong... Very strong. You know?"

The only answer he got was a smile from the younger, so he went on.

"It must be very hard to live like this." The goal behind his words were to let him know he understood his situation. "Do you have some secret weapon for this fight?"

Seokjin let out a soft chuckle at his joke and slowly nodded his head.

"My mother." Did he utter, smile not lasting longer.

"Ah your mother sure is very nice!" Hoseok commented. "I'm happy to hear that you're getting along with her, she's very caring and loves you lots."

"I mean my... real mother..." This time, Seokjin's voice really was very low.

"Oh... I'm sorry." The doctor mumbled after realising his mistake. "May she rest in peace."

"May she..."

"Your mother was a good woman..."

"We made a promise..." Seokjin started, slowly lifting his head to look at his doctor's eyes, his tears started to spill. "I promised her that no matter how hard situations might get, no matter how bad my condition can get, nor how severe my flare-ups might be, nor how slow my heart might beat... No matter how much tears I shed, no matter how much blood I cough, no matter how close I get to death... I'll always fight as long as I'm alive... I promised her to never give up, no matter what, I'll keep fighting until my heart explodes."
