"How is school?" With a relatively weak voice did he speak to his love, who was sitting next to him.
"Boring, especially without you." The girl answered with her expressions, making Seokjin smile.
"You know I won't be going there anymore..."
"Yes I know about that... Namjoon already told me."
Silence followed, it was lunch time and the couple were having a meal together. Yunji decided to eat white rice balls so Seokjin wouldn't feel so different from her. Talking about Seokjin, he seemed to do a lot better physically as he now could use chopsticks and eat on his own, his ability of standing straights had also improved a lot. And mentally, he smiled, laughed and talked more.
"I'm sorry for making you skip school." He talked, still chewing on his white sticky rice.
"Don't apologize, I'm glad to stay here with you-"
She didn't get to finish her whole sentence because of knocking heard on the door from outside. Yunji and Seokjin exchanged curious glances before the female called.
"Who's there?"
"It's me, may I come in?" They were capable of recognizing the deep voice's owner, and made the girl turn her head to her lover who stopped eating after hearing the voice. Not quite surprised by his reaction, she landed a hand on his shoulder.
"I know what you're thinking. Don't worry, trust me." She told the one who had his head turned to look at her, his eyes not so lively but remained concerned and unsure. Whatever his thoughts were, he nodded his head anyways to allow Yunji calling the guest.
"Come in." Did she call, her call followed by the sound of the door opening and somebody stepping in. "Good morning Yoongi, how are you?"
"Doing alright today as usual, but I'm not the one to be asked." The male friend answered her question then looked over at Seokjin who was looking everywhere but at his face. "Good morning Seokjin."
"Good morning." Yoongi had never heard his old friend speaking so softly to him, at least not since he lost him. He could tell how worried he was from looking at his eyes, and thought it could be because of what happened the precedent night.
"You seem to be doing better, I'm glad." Seokjin didn't seem to understand to last words, but he nodded and that was all that mattered. "I heard somewhere that chocolate is good for heart disease so I brought some with me."
"Thank you." Carefully did Seokjin take the small chocolate bar handed to him by his rival, if he still stood to be. "Please forget about what happened yesterday."
"What happened yesterday?" Did Yoongi ask him with a small smile, pretending to be confused. He was happy to see Seokjin returning the smile to him and nod a third time.
"Nothing... nothing happened." He said, and proceeded by grabbing a rice ball with his fingers and handed it to Yoongi. "Eat it..."
"Thanks!"
"I'll be off for now, boys."
The room went silent, even though Seokjin wasn't feeling as uncomfortable as before around the other male. Even Yoongi experienced the same feeling and thought it was impossible for the two of them to go back together as strong as before. The male sneaked his eyes to Seokjin's face to look at him eat without attracting his attention. It was true, the youth next to him was going to die in a couple years by his fault. The feeling of guilt had yet to have left him, maybe if ever he didn't push him that one time, nothing would have happened and Seokjin would have been still safe and well.
"What are you thinking of?" Finally, after what seemed to be an eternity, Seokjin spoke up and looked at Yoongi who stared back at him with a hum. "You're so quiet..."
"Oh I thought you wouldn't like to hear my voice..."
"It's fine, if you don't want to talk, just say it."
"Is a question fine then?"
"One is, more is not."
'Wow... since when has he been so strict on these.'
"Okay I'll go with one." Without lifting his head, the younger one nodded as in to allow him to proceed. "What happened that day?"
"Which day? I have so many... memorable days."
"Positively or..."
"Negatively of course."
Now Seokjin was sounding so much direct, which was weird on his side, but Yoongi preferred to focus on his current question than to spoil it with an unnecessary other one.
"The day my parents passed on. What happened?"
Silence fell, a silence Yoongi had expected from the younger, but he remained on his staring direction while Seokjin took his refrains from eating and stared at the voice.
"Why ask me a question you already know the answer?" He asked, remained calm.
"We both know that it wasn't the correct answer... You didn't kill them." Yoongi was proceeding very carefully, him knowing fully that he was opening a very sensitive topic similar to a wound.
"Don't ask me... I don't know anymore." Seokjin didn't seem to react very well to his question. "I have accepted the fact I killed them because of you, now I don't know if I really did it or not."
"What happened?"
"I don't remember okay? I was a child."
Silence fell, Yoongi wasn't expecting for Seokjin to forget details of such horrible events. It made sense after all, someone with a disease should do anything but focus on their dark past, Seokjin must have had ignored the memories until they were erased. 'If that's the case it would be better for him not to remember them.' Yoongi thought to himself.
"I see, it's okay."
"You can ask something else if you still want to." Seokjin said as he gulped down the last bite of rice.
"I have nothing else to ask."
"Was it really you who brought me here the other day?"
"Why that question so suddenly?" Yoongi confused, turned his perplexed face to his cold friend.
"Just wanted to know, randomly." However Yoongi didn't have the time to answer his question due to the other suddenly getting thrown in a harsh fit of cough, which caught his attention as he hurried to look at him. Seokjin had one hand over his mouth and the second one clutching his chest, gripping tightly on his shirt whilst his whole body convulsed with pain and lack of air with each cough. Seokjin felt as if he was dying, the coughing fit was choking him alive and everytime he tried to pull oxygen in it would come as a choked wheezy inhale swallowed by the second fit.
Before he knew it, he was laid down on his bed, oxygen mask on his nose and mouth allowing him to get back his breathing ability gradually. Slowly did he manage to calm down and breath more evenly, then opened his eyes and noticed Yoongi sitting next to him, hand on his.
"It will be alright..." Yoongi whispered with a smile on his face while staring at rival's sickly pale face covered with the breathing mask. "Do you want me to get Hoseok for you?"
Seokjin said nothing but contented himself with a head shake then proceed to closed his eyes to relax his breaths and keep himself from losing consciousness. Yoongi nodded then talked again "I'm going for now, Jungkook said he'll be passing to see you today." His talk seemed to interest Seokjin, he could tell it from the way he suddenly opened his eyes and looked at him.
"Does he..." Was all Seokjin managed to utter before weakness overcame him and fell silent again. Fortunately, the eldest one managed to understand what he meant.
"Don't worry, nobody knows about yesterday except me and Yunji." He smiled.
