Chapter Forty -Two: Baby Shower

Shailene's POV~

Theo and I arrived home about a month later. We both decided that it would be good to stay away from the L.A drama and live our own lives.

My friends took us to Disney World, it stinks that I couldn't have gone on any rides. Theo and Brad were having a jolly good time, drinking and what not. Fans ran up to us, only a couple of times and it didn't bother us.

"Okay, so all of us are meeting at my mom's house?" I ask Zoe.

"Yes, do not forget! It's very important Shai and make sure Theo comes along too!" Zoe exclaims.

I say okay and hang up the phone. Something is up with Zoe and my mom, they must be planning something but I have no idea what. I really hate surprises because I'm not sure what to expect or do in the future, but that's what makes them so beautiful.

"Shai, are you still going to your mother's house?" Theo's husky british voice flows through my ears.

I nod my head, picking out a pair of black maternity jeans and a peach color shirt to show my baby bump. Theo and I have gotten through the media finding out about us, we usually ignore any entertainment shows on T.V.

"Okay, I'll drop you off." He walks into the bedroom, grabbing a short sleeve blue shirt.

"Actually, Zoe told me to tell you to stay.." I finished getting ready, fixing my hair which is now touching my shoulders and brown.

Theo chuckles and nods his head. Does he know what's going on too?

"What's so funny Theodore?" I squint my eyes in confusion.

Theo stares at me, hiding his smirk and responds, "Oh nothing. You look beautiful love."

"Don't try and change the subject, tell me!" I plead, walking over to him and press my lips against his.

Theo smiles and brings his hands to my bump. I pull away and look at Theo talking to our baby.

"Hi little one! Mommy hates surprises so this should be fun." Theo laughs and grabs the car keys.

Sometimes that man makes me wonder...

Theo's POV~

While Shai and I were in Florida, Zoe and her mother had planned a surprise baby shower! I've known this whole time yet Shai has no clue what's going on.

"Okay seriously Theo, what is going on?" Shai looks at me while we stop at a red light.

I have my hand on her thigh as usual and I look at her, smiling the whole time. I can't ruin the surprise, Shai needs to be shocked once in a while.

"Okay, your mother is getting married to Zoe." I put on a "dead serious" face.

Shai takes a deep breath and keeps quiet; then burst out into a rant.

"No way in hell is that happening! My mother cannot be marrying my best friend Zoe! They haven't even known each other long enough nor did I know my mother was a lesbian!" Shai shouts.

I bite down on my lip, keeping myself from laughing and pull into the driveway where Shai used to live.

This should be fun...

Shai's POV~

My mother and Zoe?! Why didn't they tell me? Zoe is way too young for my mother! Did my brother Tanner know about this and hide it from me? I'm going to tell them that I do not support this marriage.

Theo and I walk up to the front door, opening it slowly.

"Mom! You cannot marry Zoe, I forbi-"

"Surprise!" Everyone exclaims.

I look around my livingroom, seeing "It's a girl!" and pink decorations everywhere. My old and new friends are here, along with Theo's family and friends too.

I smile, a tear slipping down my cheek. I cannot believe they did this for me!

"Oh my gosh, Theo why didn't you tell me?!" I run into his arms, laughing about the lie he told me before.

"Because it wouldn't have been a surprise darling." He kisses my forehead and we join my family.

"Congratulations you guys! Time to play some baby shower games!" Zoe shouts, hugging us both.

For half of the day we all spent time talking about the baby and playing games like, "Who's water will break first?" or "How big is the baby bump?" Theo and his friends spent the time drinking and chatting about Harry Potter movies.

"So, I think we've all been waiting for this moment..." Jessica, Theo's sister breaks the silence.

"What?" I say in confusion.

"What's the baby's name?" My mother smiles.

I look at Theo and he nods in return, telling me I can announce it.

"Her name is Luna. Luna Jane Taptiklis." I smile and Theo grins widely.

Everyone awes and says it's the perfect name for our child. Theo sits down next to me, wrapping his arm around my waist.

"Shai baby, I love you." He whispers into my ear.

"I love you too Theo." I peck his cheek and we continue our night.
