Chapter Forty- Eight: Time Flies

Shailene's POV~

"Luna baby, look at mommy!" I exclaim, trying to take a picture in her Dauntless onsie.

Instead, my daughter giggled and looked at Theo; wanting her to be picked up. He chuckled and swept our baby into his arms. I smiled, enjoying this moment with my family.

"I guess she doesn't like pictures." His rich, british accent filled the nursery.

I shook my head, setting the camera down and responded, "It's crazy, how fast time flies. Tomorrow we will be filming the first scene of Allegiant."

Theo sat down next to me and said, "I know, it feels like yesterday I met you and couldn't stay away."

My cheeks blushed, fascinated with the fact that he always thought about me even when he was with Ruth. I've mentioned this a thousand times but I am so thankful for Theo and the impact he has had in my life.

Theo looked down at our daughter, "Happy One month baby girl!"

Luna gurgled and snuggled into her dad's arms. Slowly but peacefully she had fallen asleep and we finally had some quiet time alone. Theo quickly placed her into the crib and turned on the baby monitor.

I walked into our bedroom and lied down on the bed. This whole month I had been getting back into shape, ready for Allegiant. Soon enough, my love entered the room and joined me.

"Finally, we can spend some time together." He winked and thats when I rolled over on top of him.

I smirked and brought my lips to his. It felt like forever since our lips touched, feeling the sparks fly through the air. Theo's tongue swept across my lips, begging for entertance and of course I had let him in.

My hands got lost in his soft, brown hair. Our kiss went from intimate to desperate, being grateful for the time we had. Theo had found his way under my shirt and unclasped my bra, sending shivers down my spine.

His lips found the soft spot on my neck, lingering on top of it. A moan escaped my mouth and I giggled when I was topless. I ripped his shirt off and he flipped me onto the bottom.

Time had flew, both of us nude and making love under the sheets. Luna hasn't woken up yet, which means she was out for the night until she was hungry.

Once we had finished, we remained undressed and cuddled underneath the blankets. I laid my head on Theo's chest, listening to the rythym of his heart.

"I love you, you know that right?" My voice croaked, I needed him to know that.

His chocolate brown eyes looked down, studying my facial features, "I know. You're so beautiful."

I laughed, of course I knew I was pretty and I loved myself, but I know for sure he has had better looking woman in his life.

"Seriously Shai, god damn I'm so lucky to have someone like you." He kissed my cheek and continued to play with a stray hair of mine.

"What if we never tried? If we never tried to be in a relationship?" I breathed.

Theo thought for a moment, as if he never realized how different it would have been. I still remember the day I met Theo, the moment our eyes met. In the beginning, he was my best friend and we would always go out together. Always went to the bar or out to lunch, now here we are. Parents and co-stars; let's not forget a couple too.

"I don't even want to know what it would have been like, all the matters is we are here. And I'm so happy that it's you who I fell in love with." His voice was soothing, all of a sudden I felt tired.

Yet, the cries of my daughter said I could sleep later. I glanced over to the clock, the time read 2:45 AM. I didn't know three hours had passed, time flies when you're having fun.

"I'll get her." I wrapped the sheets around my body, quickly slipping on my robe.

I could feel Theo's eyes, gazing towards my body. I shook my head, he can be so dirty minded sometimes.

Quickly, I opened the door to the nursery and found Luna crying. I picked her up, rocking her in my arms.

"Shh, I'm here. Mommy's here." I whispered, trying to calm her down.

It didn't work, therefore I unwrapped my robe and let her feed. She latched on and ate, but resumed crying after she was finished. Confused, I checked her diaper and there was nothing in there. Fear crept into my mind, maybe Theo can help me.

Theo's POV~

I slipped on a clean pair of underwear and sweatpants, waiting for my girl to come back. Our bedroom door opened, only to find Luna with Shai.

"She won't stop crying, even when I fed her." Worry was everywhere in Shai's eyes.

I patted the bed, grabbing Luna and letting Shai change. Luna's face was a light shade of red, tears slipping from her eyes.

"It's okay baby girl, Daddy's got you." I craddled her, kissing the top of her forehead.

Shai walked over in one of my t-shirts. She placed a pink pacifer into Luna's mouth, successfully calming her down.

"Are you kidding me?" Shai laughed, her nose scrunching up in the most cutest way possible.

"All that trouble when she only needed her parents and a pacifer." I shook my head, leaning back onto our pillows.

"Let's just sleep with her tonight. I'm tired and sore, plus I'm too lazy to walk to the nursery." She giggled, causing me to grin because I was the one who made her tired.

"Agreed, goodnight love." I pecked her lips, finally ready to sleep.

"Goodnight." Shai flipped off the lights and our family snuggled together, ending a perfect day.
