Chapter Thirty- Three: Crash

Theo's POV~

It's officially April and Shai is three months pregnant, only our families know. My mom went bonkers and Shai's was excited. Shai's bump is barely noticeable, as long as she wears sweatshirts.

Yet, Nahko has been trying to take Shai out lately. She's my girlfriend, it's makes me furious that he thinks he can just walk right on in and try to steel her.

I wasn't born yesterday, I'm Thirty years old, I know how boys play and I know he likes Shai. But that's just too bad because Shai is pregnant with my child, not his.

"Theo, where's my beanie?" Shai walks into our room with a pink sweatshirt and light blue jeans.

"Where you going?" I toss her my black beanie.

"Nahko and I are going to the farm to pick out vegetables." She smiles.

Shai is so sweet and I don't want her to stop hanging out with people, but this needs to end. Nahko is going to put her in danger one day because of his own stupidity.

"Shai baby, listen. I don't want you to meet up with him today." I sigh, sitting up off the bed.

"Theo why? We are just getting organic food, that's it." Her eyebrows furrow in confusion.

I know this is going to turn into an argument already so I decide to keep on going, "He likes you Shai. Call me whatever you want, but one day he's going to get you hurt."

Shai's mouth widens and she shakes her head, "He's my friend Theo. I'm allowed to do what I want!"

I sigh in frustration, why can't she ever listen to me!? I walk out of the bedroom and into the kitchen.

"So now you're going to ignore me?" She follows me and grabs her purse.

"Shai, I'm trying to keep you safe. I love you too much for you to be hurt by him!" I shout, then breathe afterwards.

She stands there frozen, she probably didn't expect me to yell.

"I'm leaving." Her eyes get watery and she closes the front door.

This is too much to handle.

Shai's POV~

How dare he make me do something to his own benefit? I'm not his bitch, I'm my own person. Fights like this piss me off and I hate it because they are with the man I love.

I get it, couples are suppose to have arguments but it just kills me on the inside. Nahko is just my friend and Theo had no right to tell me what I can or can not do. Maybe it's just the hormones.

"Shai!" Nahko greets me when I arrive to his pick up truck.

"Hey man, how's it hanging?" I go in for a hug.

Nahko smiles and says, "Good now that I'm here with you."

A weird feeling in my stomach acts up after hearing that flirtatious line. I'm only his friend, maybe Theo was right.

"Which farm are we going to?" He begins driving, my arm rests on my lap.

"Huntingtons. I think it's only 20 minutes away. How have you been Shailers?" He winks.

I brush off the wink and keep speaking, "Good. Theo and I are still together. Filming will start in two months for Allegiant." I state so he knows I'm with Theo.

"You're still with the Brit?" He mumbles.

That ticks me off a bit, his name is Theo. Why is Nahko acting like this?

"His name is Theo and to answer your question, yes I am." I look out the window.

I notice that we just passed the farm and markets. Fear creeps into my mind, where is he taking me?

"Shai I have to tell you something." He stares into my eyes.

I panic and say, "Watch the road!"

He ignores me and presses his foot onto the pedal, causing the vehicle to go faster. I scream, we are going to crash.

"If I can't have you alive, I'll have you dead instead." He leans over and pushes his lips to mine.

I push him off of me and I turn around to the see a big truck coming head on. I scream in terror, fear, and in need of help. I should have stayed with Theo, I should have stayed.

Tires squeal across the road, our vehicles collide. Everything slows down, my breathing too. My eyes close and quickly open. Our truck has been flipped over, I see the road and broken glass.

I didn't dare to try and move, I pray that I will live through this. For all I know, I could be dead. My head is in pain and I hear sirens in the distance. Tears begin to fall from my eyes, I'm traumatized.

Nahko did this to me, he destroyed me. I should have never trusted him. Theo, I need Theo right this moment. I try to release myself but I end up screaming in agonized pain, my arm is bleeding.

"Please let me live, please." I plead.

I will get through this, for Theo and for me. But for most all of, the baby.
