Wonwoo was strolling out of the auditorium, looking for Mingyu. He had just arrived after Mingyu sent a 'Keep me company?' text, and there was no way Wonwoo could turn that down. He had actually been looking for a bit, just because Mingyu wasn't in the auditorium at first sight. When Wonwoo a 'Here, where r u?' text, Mingyu didn't reply right away, and just assuming he'd be around, probably back at work, he started a search for his boyfriend.

In the way, he had run into a few other writing students watching the rehearsals, a few students he knew from other departments who seemed to be suffering through the ordeal of audio checks, prop checks, and other checks they'd be doing for a play. He also ran into someone else in the hallway near the practice rooms.

"Hey stranger!"

Said person turned around, wondering if it was them being called, "Hey? Oh, hey... stranger?"

"I don't know, I don't talk to you enough, Chan. We're strangerly."

Chan mumbled, "Don't think that's a word, but alright," then continued talking in a normal voice, "What are you here for?"

"What do you think?"

"...Ew, sorry I asked."

Wonwoo laughed a little, more at knowing his plan worked than the reaction Chan had itself. "How've you been? How's this going?"

Chan sighed, "It's going... but not where I wanted."

"Oh, how so?"

"Got bumped down a role... a few roles, I don't know," Chan stopped and took a deep breath, it hurt a bit to talk about even though it wasn't a big deal. "I'm still dancing, but some numbers changed and I'm not in the show a whole lot anymore, I only get a few sections where I'm on stage and I'm off to the side anyway."

Wonwoo was surprised and could only offer his condolences, "Oh, that sucks! I'm sorry Chan."

"Not your fault, don't be sorry, at least I'm not in the back, I can still be seen... Who knows? Maybe something crazy will happen in the next few hours before opening and I'll get bumped to center and given a solo."

"Wishful thinking, much?" Wonwoo hesitated to say.

"Yeah well, that's all I got left," Chan laughed. Wonwoo could tell he was still sad, but Chan was pretty good at looking on a brighter side, if not the brightest (hence his suggestion having some dark alternatives behind them, like a cast member dying or breaking all their bones... the strange kid.)

"Found you! Did you get my text? I went off to the teacher's lounge and didn't want you looking for me."

"Oops, no I didn't, sorry."

"No worries," Mingyu explained, "Hey Chan, how are-"

"Don't get him started, he might cry," Wonwoo interrupted.

"I'm not gonna cry! 'Least I wasn't before you mentioned crying," Chan stated loudly.

"Sorry Channie, not trying to tease you so much about it."

"It's okay, I get it, plus I gotta get over it anyway," Chan shrugged, "I'm off by the way, you guys should find Hao, I think he wanted to see us all at some point but I gotta check in with Soonyoung first."

"Why is opening night so crazy?" Minmgyu asked.

Wonwoo replied, "Aren't they normally? High tension, last minute adjustments?"

"No, I meant why like this? I'm being called everywhere by teachers and cast and apparently Minghao now, but I haven't done anything last few rehearsals I don't think, why is the weirdest stuff blowing up now?"
